Meant to post this the other day; chainstay clearance on my Raleigh is… not too substantial, even with 23's

What Massi have you got? The boss got a somewhat vintage one today. No idea about the tubing or age.

It's called a 'Mega Team'. Brain tubing, made in the mid 90's. It was made by the same italian framebuilder that mass-made frames for concorde and a lot of small companies. I saw the name of it in a post on here once but can't remember what they're called or where the post was.

Nice. Your name decals look identical to this one (not completely sorted it yet in this photo). 55cm frame, boss really needed a 54cm max, but she's happy with a super short SR Custom stem and bars. Tubing felt oversized compared to my Koga Miyata FM-1 and the Reynolds I've handled before. Maybe it's Brain too.

Yeah mine's Brain OS I think, it's got an oval down tube. Filet brazed rather than lugged and fully chromed under the paint. They're nice frames for being a pretty unknown brand.

Didn't notice this downtube being oval, it was very nice riding back from the shop though, felt sturdy.
Next week (once we check everything is working fine on a few test rides), I'll go back and check out the original forks they had, in case it gives clues to age/tubing.
Tbh they're only fitted to do a dry ride of the south downs way, and to see if they fitted/how it looks/feels.
Usually run regular cross tyres.
