Cheers all - im stoked
@Batt it rides like a mix between my GT commuter, and my Singular 29er, so absolutely brilliant. It also seems to stick to my feet when jumping it up and down curbs and ledges. Notably light and luckily also delightfully sturdy.
@hippy sometimes i lower my saddle just to see what my bike would look like if i wasnt only made of legs..

At the coolest store ever. Just discovered it. Its like Ikea for your workshop.
the one i got:
http://www.biltema.dk/da/Bil---MC/MC/Tilbehor/Styr-og-handtag/Styr-aluminium-286-Mini-MX-2000021026/the one i have on my Singular Swift:
http://www.biltema.dk/da/Bil---MC/MC/Tilbehor/Styr-og-handtag/Styr-aluminium-286-MX-2000021122/a 22.2 version of that one ^ with a clip on cross bar:
http://www.biltema.dk/da/Bil---MC/MC/Tilbehor/Styr-og-handtag/Styr-aluminium-MX-hojt-2000021025/I think you can get away with removing the brace and using a bmx stem. But they are made to be clamped at two points much wider apart than a bike stem.. But then again probably also made to endure much greater forces than you can produce on a bicycle.
the shim i used is this one: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/seat-posts/sjsc-split-shim-318-mm-to-286-mm/

Biltema is sick, they used to sponsor a drift driver I know back in the day before he got big sponsors
-

Oh, I thought I'd found some fancy parts store in Copenhagen.
I have the 22.2 version on my Kona already - it's hella flexy, even with the brace, so I wouldn't remove it.By the way - the chains they sell at biltema are made by KMC.
Also, where I get my p-clipsl -
• #333
@-cv- Hah nice! So you're scandinavian orrr?
@MisterMikkel sounds lame :/ The 28.6 version isnt flexy. I mean, it is like 830mm wide, but nothing i worry about in terms of safety or ride characteristics..

90mm +35 degree stem arrived and Im diggin it more than i thought! Ive got a soft spot for this bar, and its always been what i've had in mind for this build. V functional, still playful (af). And not as much just another rigid mtb in my stable.
Fit seems pretty bang on too :D

Nah dude (i'm 'ld_photoworks on IG btw) but if you search "Fredric Aasbo", thats the guy im talking about :)

Considering the walls of the tubing is like 4-5mm, I was surprised as well - but it's probably down to some super noodly alloy.
For puttering around it's not a problem. -

Your cushions are having a fight
-
• #338
New stem is good
-
• #339

Ahh hey man! Oh ok he's Norwegian, that makes sense.
@MisterMikkel they certainly aint the lightest bars around haha
@slothy Thanks, they are On-One OG bars with bullhorns

Thanks! Yea i feel ya, but i could do with a headset in something other than black, but we'll see :)
Rides so nice though, feels super capable and like it really could take a beating. And the thunderburts at low pressures and wide rims is a dream, hot damn.

• #344
I think a gold headset could work great here.

• #345

Yea its a beaut especially so close by. Its recovered sea bed, dammed off from the ocean. Along the outside there's a nice pavement path for ppl with smal tires too!
Rad bar choice. How's it riding?
