  • Big tall bloke who rides on the hackney canal in short and tank throughout the winter with very loud music/speakers in his bag...I wish I could enjoy my nice and quiet cold journey through the park and on the canal at 6.30am (as close as it get to the country side feeling).

Am I the only one that think loud music on a bike is twat move?

  • 'Tall'? It sure as hell isn't @Ramsaye if that's a physical characteristic.

  • Might be wrong but I would also be surprised if that persons is on here. But maybe, who knows...If it means we can stop that speakers on bike non sense :)

  • Is it really cheesey stuff like Quo and the Spice Girls?

  • @mmccarthy @mashton (though he had PWEI playing last time I rode with him)

  • Was just suggesting him as someone who has an opinion on this subject.

  • Farking legs are farking farked.

Perfect day to pootle along but getting over Palace was painful.

  • I almost wish...it's more like the raver kind of music most days (just to wake you up in case you struggle), this morning was some hardish rock.. I think...

  • I've done it before but I was also in a skinsuit and sperm hat on so I've got bigger issues...

  • Legend. Maybe you could share his route so I can swap tunes with him? :)

    oonce oonce oonce oonce

  • I've seen a guy out west doing the same thing now and then. It usually makes me chuckle.

  • I was about to pull you up on the spice girls comment but then checked my playlist. Just added two become one to the crimbo mix (38 sleeps to go).

Also @dancing james I ride River Lea not the canal, I’m guessing @Aldersbrook means regents canal near Vicky park.

  • Yes talking about the canal between victoria park and shoreditch. He is not the only one, there is another one who I sometime cross, but I won't mention him because he always has reggae on and I love reggae.

Saying that I would never say anything, based on his size and the fact that he rides in short and tank on on a morning like today tells me he is tough as shit and most likely not to mess with. I will keep cowardly complaining here much safer

  • There's a guy who rides with his tunes in the morning up walworth road. I was confused to hear autotune Drake singing behind/beside me whilst cycling at 7.30am.

  • (though he had PWEI playing last time I rode with him)

Was it about 20 years ago ?

  • I think this fellow must at least occasionally ride up blackfriars rd. There was some questionable 90s hard rock of unknown provenance the other day

  • BOSE recently released a speaker for that purpose....seems like it's going to be miss based on the comments

  • Sing along to the tunes. Or scrawl passive aggressive notes and shit on the path.

  • District line up the shit as I reached the station. Turned heel and went back for the bike and enjoyed the crisp ride in. 3rd time in about two weeks.

TFL obviously noticed the gut and putting me on an enforced cycling regime.

  • y u no ride every day?

  • Rule 1 : Never, ever take the train.

  • Fuck using the misery sewer.

I woke up late got to work late and do not give a single fuck, but I do wish I had woken up early and could have cycled the long way in today.
