Question someone here may be able to help with. When I was in South America the main sparking wine was Chandon.
I'm looking for a bottle - ideally from Mendoza. When I Google there also seems to be a brand called Chandon.
What exactly is Chandon?
Type of grape? protected region? Method?
Any info would be appreciated.
Cheers

Set up by Moet et Chandon almost 60 years ago in Argentina to make wines based around the Champagne wine making model, I'd guess - ie grape varieties and méthode champenoise.

I remember my youth backpacking I once bought a large bottle in night club in BA for what was then £5 I polite declined the offer of glasses. Good times. Felt like a fake rock star.

We have a website with more information about our range

Enjoyed sending this text from work today:
Keep it in the family, innit.

A lot of love for @Jingle_Jangle who enjoys a bit of Brut Non Vintage.
I might temporarily but out of Brut NV but there's always more on the way!
Otherwise I have all the rest of the range in stock @ChasnotRobert if you need some this weekend!

Hi Vince,
No hurry, I will be in touch for some vintage and NV, before Christmas.
Down to my last bottle!

Had this yesterday at a tasting and for £7.50 it’s a bit of a belter. If you’re still looking for something to settle down with over Christmas, you could do worse than this

I was given a 6-bottle case of 2005 Chateau Beychevelle some years ago as a present, cellared at Berry Bros. & Rudd.
Should be coming to its prime now, so will be thinking about selling. Is listing it on their broking exchange, BBX, going to be the best way to go about this, or can I get a better return on such a small amount elsewhere?
If I can make enough on 5, would certainly be nice to keep one for myself.

Recommendations for decent but not too pricey wine glasses?
Stemmed, and good for tasting rather than ridiculous goldfish bowl style.

TK Max and fill yer boots

I think BBX only allows you to sell by the case so selling 5 and keeping 1 would not be an option. Otherwise it's a pretty convenient way to buy and sell things cellared at BBR. Don't forget that you pay a commission of 10%, which seems to be pretty standard for wine but seems pretty steep compared to other things

If you can find them, the Dartington "Cellar" range red wine glasses are as close as I've come to the always-recommended Reidel Overture Magnum glasses, have picked up loads in TK Maxx over the last year.

Ah, yes, I had wondered about that. So are there really any good options for selling individually & privately?
Anyone here want some £80 bordeaux?

Riedel Chianti are my favourite general purpose crystal - not cheap but not ridiculous, either:
