  • You should always try to add details.

Number of gears? Age? Spec? Where you bought it? Why you’re sellling? What price you’re selling it for.

Also why so down in the mouth?

Just asking ‘anyone after one?’ Means you have seriously underestimated the convenience of the fold.

  • Twas kind of tongue in cheek.

I’m selling one in classifieds and get asked the same.

    What’s your lowest price?

  • Are they bromptonification hinges?

  • It's a 2014, 3 speed , raw lacquer, s type.
Upgrades/bling parts: titanium fork, titanium seat post, titanium brake bolt kit (in green), titanium stem and handlebar catch bolt (both in rainbow), super light aluminium front hub (abec bearings) with titanium bolts, double butted front spokes, carbon fibre handlebar, ergo cork grips, Brooks cambium c15 saddle, titanium/brass clamp set and matching seat post clamp with stainless steel rear frame latch, cnc black aluminium chain tensioner and blue jockey wheels, izumi super tough chain, shimano 7600 chainset (have converted to hollow Tech2), mks Esprit ezy superior pedals, swissstop brake pads, sturmey Archer shifter( the nice metal one), brake cables are silver braided jagwire, gear cable gold braided jagwire. Think that's all...oh and a green Chris king gripnut headset. has a one or two small superficial rust spots, regularly sprayed inside with acf 50 anti rust. The bad point at moment is there is small play in fork/headset area, would need inspected by lbs maybe. Have original fork and headset, plus extra green headset. Have front mount and brompton bag, have mudguards (took them off), would prob need new rear tyre (both are schwable marathon). Most of these upgrade parts are either TI workshop or bromptification branded third party parts.

  • I am interested actually. Feel free to drop me a PM

  • Told you it was good to add details.

  • guys, might stick this on the for sale section rather then cock teasing here.

  • I'd take the Bromptonification stuff if you would split.

  • I have been riding my Brompton since arriving in Amsterdam... Replaced the brakes (calipers and levers) over the weekend from the old original pre-2000 brakes, and the old, recalled, handlebars. Feels like a different bike

  • So apart from that it's pretty much stock, right?

  • no, chainring is stronglight 52 track ;-)

  • what renthal bars are people using on their bromptons? and am I right in thinking they are to give some rise to S types?

  • I brought some 2nd hand renthal's on here 22.2mm with a shim, think they are the motorbike ones as they have quite a wide centre before the rise can take some measurements tomorrow if you'd like. Feel wider than the straight ones my s2l came with..

  • @dancing james coming back to a comment you made about wanting to update your brompton, or at least the levers, I may have bought everything that was silver on my stock S2L in black, including brake levers and shifter - so will more than likely be listing for sale most stock parts from a 2017 brompton that has been ridden about 10km other than frame, brake calipers and wheels. Let me know if you’d like to update your 2speed shifter & brake levers.

  • Ok thanks. Have you posted a picture of it on here? Would be good to see how they look.

  • Three speed shifter?

  • From what I've read, (thinking bout putting risers on my s type) you can put any 25.4mm bars on, with 45mm rise being about the same as an m type hight

Been looking at getting wider bars and I reckon you could easily add 40mm without affecting the fold

  • Had a spill this morning and have snapped the little front axle hook - anywhere in East likely to stock it? If not and I order online is there a better version than the stock plastic one?

  • @edscoble how much are the new three speed shifters? Will I need new brake levers to fit them? And if so how much are they?

  • Sorry I didn’t reply - £25 a piece IIRC

  • I technically have a spare plastic hook as I removed my mudguards last night - I need a full new assemble - can potentially oblige on a replacement hook alone?

  • Yes - I have just put some slightly wider non-brompton risers on with success
