I really hope he isn't a wonk. He seems like a very diligent and knowledgeable journalist, although obviously massively anti trump in leaning.

Well we are nearly a year into trump in the whitehouse and he has not managed to start a war (yet) and aside from offending just about everyone somehow he is still in office but unable to get much done. maybe this is the best outcome. contain him in the oval office.

I think you have to be careful with this idea. He's done a lot - effectively fucked up obama care, sold of much of the national parks, cut state funding of arts and culture, reduced regulation on businesses, fanned the flames of a divided culture and so on.

Just because he hasn't started a war doesn't mean he's been contained.

Trans woman Danica Roem (D) just defeated anti-LGBTQ candidate Bob Marshall (R) in Virginia, becoming the first trans state legislator in America.

Or to put it in other terms:

The man who wrote the anti-trans bathroom bill just lost the election to a trans woman. Let that sink in.
