New shell cordovan numbers from Meermin

When did Redwing change the construction of the chukkas? I got mine in 2010 and they have a soft leather inner lining and the soles have a harder layer on the tread.
They seem to have removed the lining and the soles are now a simple one-piece bit of rubber: -

I've got the 8 hole black boots. Love the slightly textured leather.

Only had them a couple of years so haven't needed any replacements yet...

Actually, the metal tips came off the laces, but I'm not sure that is covered.
The guarantee covers the failure of any component, such as upper leather, stitched seams, eyelets, soles, welts, linings and reinforcements which has been subjected to normal wear and tear from non-industrial use and not unreasonably abused.
In which case - what are the forum approved boot laces?

Looking to get a new pair of shoes for work in the New Year.
I wear jeans and a shirt, so brown country shoes are the order of the day.
Currently wearing these.
but these
and these
are doing it for me..

+1. Can't go wrong with Trickers.
What about a pair in that weird cartoon skin colour that only Trickers does?
I've got a pair and I'm yet to decide if I actually like them or not. I dig the oddness though.

I'm good for boots - don't think they do the shoes in that colour (which I do like)
-

Both are lovely @Tenderloin although I think the Trickers are the winners for me. A tiny bit smarter so they can be dressed up if needed and the dainite sole is super comfortable.

Your current ones or the last pair would look best imo.

What size?
😁
-
• #5671
I'm actually legitimately thinking of selling them because they're too big (10.5) but they really need sending back to Cheaney for resoling and refurbishment.
Unless there's a way they could take them down half a size while they're at it? Is that a thing?

Y u no 11?

They're on the large end of a 10.5 tbf

Crockett & Jones Grasmere may be an option? Loving mine!

They do, I have a pair I picked up cheap on eBay. Somewhere around £50 I think. In great nick too, I think that leader is indestructible
Today's find. Need full scrub and polish but they ate up the cobbler's cream so must have been stored for a while.
