Performance definitely feels more slippery...

Poorly rated though - people saying the outer is 5mm so doesn’t fit into shifters...

Seatpost id on the Surly? I need an inline for my Juicer. Good job by the way

Lifeline performance brake cables are excellent. Outer is very low compression. Ive installed it on a couple bikes and never had problems with it not fitting shifters (shimano and sram)

That looks like Rien's old frame. Large size, removed surly decals. It has to be!

Absolutely perfect commuter. I loved this build

All of his builds are superb. Although commuting 70km each day with such a saddle to bar drop would destroy most of us I imagine..

They made the frames from road tubesets. Note it also has a rear brake drilling.
Some do, some don't. It seems to depend on the year/time of manufacture

I'm in Barcelona at the moment, so hired a bike from Deviant Bikes for a ride along the seafront on Sunday. Got this for 3.5 euros per hour. Great fun!

Yeah, after the first ten minutes I got used to straps again, and it was just great. With that running gear it went over anything. Steps just became a bumpy slope. I'd do it again for sure.

indeed, guru Rien offered it to me, and it was a perfect fit for my friend

Do love a Donohue! Gave mine some new cables/cable housings/bar tape at the weekend - just before winter. Not entirely sure why I bothered.

Fitted performance to my Donohue at the weekend, cable housing felt less supple than essential (what I had on before), which made it more of a faff to fit. Haven't ridden it yet as it's disgusting out this morning.

Popped over there to pick up some cardboard bike boxes when flying back from Barcelona last month - seemed like a pretty cool place. A few friends recommended it too. Bike looks rad!
Essential have been fine in my house but I bought performance for my posh bike. Haven't fitted yet though
