Levers and Rear derailleur weigh 260g and 239g respectively.
Red is 280g and 145g

So mechanical levers actually slightly heavier but mech quite a bit lighter. But then cables?

He should have used blips and cross top / TT brake levers.

blips 46g. So any sub 200g levers and thats saving

How much trickier would it be to use blips going at that level of effort? (genuinely curious)

Easier I’d imagine. I’m finding the TT shifter really good, even at maximum warp.

My cross tops weigh about 86g.

It's deceptively light but yeah there's a few gains to be had.

Does that include the control box?

Yep, blips are 16g on their own, 30 for the box

One of the guys racing the WTTA (and winning a lot too) has a mechanical tt bar end lever for his mech and seems to be doing that just fine, so i reckon it'd be easier with a button

Thats pretty significant over the levers. Can the sram system be run RD only as things stand?

I don't have etap money so no experience, that's a question for someone else

Parlee track is probably the lightest? Other than that the Giant omniums are surprisingly light.

Dont deny that but youd think someone challenging for a nationals win would at least chop his drops off...

Would it be fair to guess the CAAD10 track weighs similar to the CAAD10 that would make it 1,150g? a pre-cursa is 1.7kgs so that's out, Giant Omnium is about 1.3kgs
