“One of the things that’s really magical about VR is you can get the feeling you’re really in a place,” said Zuckerberg as his grinning avatar floated over scenes of flooding and destruction.
“Rachel and I aren’t even in the same building in the physical world, but it feels like we’re in the same place and can make eye contact,” he added before he and Rachel high-fived within the virtual space with the sombre scenes of Puerto Rican devastation around them.

I was interested to see that someone in the House of Representatives is really into Landshark. Sadly, it's not the bike company.

Driving home yesterday. As I’m driving across a junction round the corner from my house a dude in a people carrier rolls past, two kids in the back (not buckled in) fag in one hand, lighter in the other. All windows closed. I think, ‘surely not’ but stop, wind down my window and motion for him to do the same. I ask if he is planning to spark the fag. He replies, yes. I explain it’s against the law. He seems genuinely surprised and tells me he didn’t know that. I state that he must know second hand smoke isn’t bad for his kids right? He again seems to not be aware of this. I firmly suggest he waits until he is out the car before sparking up. I didnt take his plate, my mind was spinning and traffic around us was irate at the hold up. I just couldn’t believe someone was doing that, to there own fucking kids!! *

Jesus.
It must take you forever to get anything done stopping all the while to reprimand people who don't align with your expectations of human behaviour. -

Morality is subjective. This is the problem.

but law normally isn't.
what should and shouldn't be legal is subjective
Trivial example but I think it's a bit stupid that recumbent riders must have pedal reflectors when riding at night.
On a more serious note, I think the drink drive limit in the UK is too high.

what should and shouldn't be legal is subjective
Of course. Though that has zero effect on the objectivity of what the law actually is.

I thought all bikes had to have pedal reflectors?
-
• #8350
Only ones with pedals
How do sites like that not get in a lot of trouble?
