A few years ago when I bought a triple chainset to convert to single speed, I removed the large outside ring and then the tiny granny ring. Then I realised that the granny ring weighed almost nothing and that I may as well leave it on as an insurance policy. Heel changes are possible; upshifts need to be done by hand and can cost you a finger. #CSB

At the time i was riding around with hiking boots (Even more functional when not on your bike) Those boots made upshifts more than possible, hooked the chain with the heel extension & presto!
Would definately opt for "2 x Hiking boot" front setup, if preferred.

Kind of rad, but isn't it about 3 sizes too small? That seatpost would worry me rather...

every time i look at the picture, think the same as you :D
but 350mm seatpost and 1-1.5 cm left to the limit. for sizing I have long legs,so only on 60-61cm road frame seatpost looks okay:D
For city rides this frame is great, only for longer ride it already feels a bit small, but for those rides I have other bikes -

Yeah, an easy arc on both might have been better looking.

Gloves but no socks?

Yea i could imagine, especially at that weight! Can luckily get em through work, so that helps a bit. Do they puncture and tear easy? It may be smart to bring an extra on a longer trip..

Puncture or tear? No no. They just wear out. I've never had a single puncture in two years running them tubeless.

Having read this I'm considering double NW for my Orlo. Found myself overgeared on off road rides with 42-36 as my lowest gear, but don't want to drop the chainring tooth count as for road rides even 42-11 highest gear isnt that high. Wouldnt change during the ride, just once before if need be depending on what I'll be riding
Ideally I'd have 44t front for road and ~36t for off road -

So why not a CX chainset? 46/36

Fair do's. I use the 110bcd rings from SRAM. 38 off road loaded and 46 for anything on tarmac.
Can't for the life of me figure out what they're talking about here.
