Do you realise how no one is likely to read your post as you have not used the @namefunction ?

You do realise when a comment is made in a thread that you have commented in, you receive an email notification saying a comment has been posted and the context of the post? i dont need to be @ only when i want to be specific in a larger thread, is that correct?
Your saying its good practice just to use it all the time?

An I guess what your trying to say is that the best set up to be pro active in the forum in have the automatic updates turned off so not flooded by emails, just to have notifications turned on when your mentioned in a comment?

any more details on those rims ?

If you have been posting for a while you'd get continual emails

Also the subscribe to threads you have posted in is a relatively recent function. Hence use the @function
