Nah it'll just be so much cleaner tasting than a cafetière because of the filter. I'd definitely try 95C water though, I can't imagine 80C ever extracting enough, might be wrong though?

Hard to bring up this first world issue without sounding like the spoiled prick that I am, but my wife bought 1kg of the 'wrong' coffee beans a while back. I pointed it out (nicely) and thought I'd probably be doing the shopping next time we ran out. We've managed to almost work our way through them and I was looking forward to getting the stuff I usually have. But she beat me to it and bought the wrong kind again yesterday!

Subscription service gets around this problem.
Divorce is another option, but possibly more expensive.

Double espresso mostly but black americano with an extra shot if I want to waste time rather than be in a hurry.
Best served part way through a ride. Independent coffee shops all the way for me. -

Write her name on a label and stick it to the packet, then get some other coffee for yourself

Got a reasonably well used Baratza Encore electric grinder if anyone's after one. The bolt that holds the lower burrs on has sheared off at the top so replacing them will be a hassle when the time comes, but theres plenty of life left in them before that. Fully working as is.
£20 collected from hoxton. -

Ride sounds great, Enjoy!
My next YB order delayed due to holiday beans, Coaltown Sumatra, brewing nicely in v60.
Bought an aeropress, used it for the first time this morning. Coffee tastes noticeably better than out of my french press, but whether that's due to water temperature (80°C rather than straight out the kettle), correct coffee / water ratio, or placebo effect, I don't know.
