Sorry forgot to respond.
They would have, but I realised that you are using the new fancy hidden junction box, and I don't know how that measures up. I have a build coming up and can let you know once I've done it? Just don't want to give wrong lengths...

Round grommets.

i hope to use the new junction box, but am struggling to find bars with internal routing for cables that are either not crazy priced carbon or fucking ugly
These have a little more reach than my current bars (but the new shifters are slightly shorter in reach)

But not entirely convinced by their looks.

Yeah, I've been unimpressed with the ugliness of everything available.

I installed the PRO Vibe Alloy on my new cannondale supersix evo and very very happy with it. I think it looks good and very neat solution. Weight and price is alsso reasonable (I think). I will go with the same setup for my GF Isen.

but does it have internal cable routing? am wary of drilling bars!

• #508
the carbon version yes but you might not like the look of that one
-
• #509
That's the £240 one isn't it?

I did not finish my sentence....
....or the price! :)

Looks are fine, but wallet says ow!

yes that's why i bought the alloy instead. I did not realise that the alloy version did not have the internal cabling but tbh I am not fuss....I don't think internal cabling justify that much more money. Once it's tightly wrapped under the tape can say it makes much of a diff to me.

i'd like to use the new di2 bar end junction - it will make turning syncro shift on and off easier.

Today I am welding all the direct mount bosses to the drop outs. It's unsurprisingly quite boring, but low stress compared to thin walled tubing, no chance of me blowing a hole in 5mm of steel.

Flat mount I mean. So many bastard standards.

First building job done this morning. Put a bit of boiled linseed in the frame as a frame saver, and cut down the cable stops so they don't poke out of the bosses when wound fully in. Harriet is fairly determined to take part in all aspects of the build, so the rest will have to wait!
Unfortunately just got an email from bike24 to say that Hope are having "Brexit issues" and so wheels have been delayed.

But I thought Brexit was the best thing since WW2
Are you suggesting we can't have our cake or eat it?
-
• #521
Oh I did not realise they would have cable stops. So if mounted with Di2, they would need to be cut down?
@coldharbour all frame will come with the cable stop as standard I supposed right?

Ask @dancing james what he's planning! I just trimmed the inline adjusters, as I won't need the full range of adjustment.

Also, in case anyone is interested, a 53cm with mech hanger and headset cups is 1.97kg. Uncut painted fork with axle is 542g.
