  • (Cinelli or 3ttt) agree with user69955 all those lovely parts would be spoiled with flats

  • 65's. They are not as deep as classic track bars but still keep the shape and look, so better for road riding.

  • +1 on cinelli drops
Very much looking forward to this built up!

  • Bought a Cinelli 1r panto stem -

  • I'm thinking of painting the panto and thought of this -

  • Is this too much or should I leave it be? Or just paint it black

  • After a wife's birthday and a trip to milan, here I am. So the frame is a 85/86 frame. Beautiful fork with flat head. Is the track version of the 86 supermercati brianzoli bike. The perfect campagnolo is c-record track First type.
Those are Moser strada versions. The first one, is his supermercati brianzoli bike, with painted fork.

So Dan, you did jackpot with this bike. It is not a team version, but It is One of the beautiful Moser bike.

  • That's great @Lesente, thanks for the history and information.

  • I'd leave the stem. Also be cool to get a C-Rec chainset, although they are hard to find, to match the seat post and pedals.

  • too much, that frame doesn't need it. Just leave it or maybe paint it black

  • C Record one day but so pricey

  • Lovely frame and interesting project.
    Personal opinion :-

    1. don't drill - don't even think about drilling.
    2. fit SR as early C Record (engraved cranks etc will be hard to find)
    3. Check all SR cranks for any signs of cracks were arm meets spider.
    4. Ride it on Herne Hill or similar.

  • Thanks @Si46
    1.There will be no drilling.

    1. Had a look for C Record and in the main the prices are orbiting the earth.
    2. Checked and all good.
    3. No experience on a track whatsoever but may give it a go in the future.
  • Had a rethink on the stem and found another which is a little more in line with the frame.
It's rough at the moment but once it arrives, I will set about it with wet & dry.

  • So the Moser stem will end up like this but of course in silver and I think this will go well with the frame as it's understated.

  • the ano doesnt look tooo bad does it? I think black stem with panto filled in as shown would look great!
and yes, great frame. top marks!

  • Yeah the black stem could work, if you’ve got the silver Cinelli try them both out!

  • I think you're right, I do like to make things difficult and getting the anodising of a stem takes hrs. I'll see when it arrives and give it a lick of paint.

  • One possible stem arrived today and started painting the panto and it looks rather good.

  • A quick question -What type of spokes should I buy or should I be guided by which ever wheel builder I choose.
