You're nearly there... All you need is a hippy-esk post binge and you'll qualify. I'm sure you could happily regale us with 28posts on the relative merits of the 3cm rule ;-)
Or someone could suggest a lower post count :-)

Whats the verdict on these morphing bars? Kind of an interesting idea. Useless if your base bar and extensions are at different heights though I suppose.

Irrelevant to people in proper bike races, because when folded the handlebar doesn't meet the minimum width regulations. Clearly the product of a diseased mind. It will be fun to see just how bad they are if they actually get tested properly, on any of the claims. They certainly look to have the potential to transform AoD to AaD :)

One of our sponsored riders (Antony Costes - French Ironman triathlete) uses these. They look a bit nuts but he's modified his front end setup so that there's less sticking out when he's in the aerobars as the stock versions are quite bulky.
Video of him here:

Gearing for a 12hr then?

Borrow my road bike?

Got one ta. Can't decide between bringing it as a backup of leaving it at home to resist temptation.

Mean TT one.
Take you rode bike in case you get pain. And maybe gear for the start. I find my cadence drops with time. So as your power drops off you will also get a drop in cadence which will be right.

Ew no. If I do a middling 12hr on gears it's forgettable, a middling 12hr on fixed and I have an excuse!

I was about to suggest having a fixed road bike as a backup with a fairly soft gear (80-ish ?), just in case you're grovelling in the last quarter but want to keep moving.

Don't really have a road fixed setup available at the moment. Will just slog it out on the T3 or bail - will keep a lockring tool and whip available at the roadside with a bigger sprocket if things get dire.

It'd be like a kids bike for @umop3pisdn!

In a 12, the change of position is likely to be as important as the lower gear.

So you can change bikes in a TT? Interesting, never realised that. I'm planning on doing my first 12hr next year, with a view to nabbing the club record of 238 miles. Spending some 'easy' time on my S2 might make it a bit more bearable.
We could start a thread on ranking systems to boost out post count!
