  • I might make it to the finish

  • Annoyingly, can't do this. Apparently I'm booked to meet family that day. swears

  • Ah, shame would have been good to see you.

  • Quick question to @Howard - the EE website say the start point is Stir Coffee in Brixton, SW2 1AA but you have it listed as starting at Volcano Coffee Works. Are lufgussers having our own start point?

  • Uh maybe they changed it. Will update.

  • Ho hum, there we go. If you are able to record the route, would love to have a look. Will likely ride it later in the summer.

  • Hi All!

I'm responsible for this - so sorry in advance. I've ridden the whole route, it's a banger. And I'll be riding it again on Sunday

The start is STIR COFFEE, Brixton Hill. Sorry about the conflicting info we copied and pasted a little info from the other events.

If you're planning on coming please sign up on the Eventbrite! Share wherever you like, I would love as many to come as possible

  • Awesome! Is there going to be a GPX route for us to get our mits on?

  • Of course. If you're signed up it will be automatically emailed to you a couple of days before the event (and again on the night before, for the stragglers)

  • grand! Quite excited.

  • Yeah this is going to be a good one. Fingers crossed for sunny skies.

  • I'm hoping for a little mud myself

  • Just enough to take the edge off

  • Nope, no mud, nein, non, pas de muck si vous plait

  • I'm going to be super lazy (and because I've done effectively no riding this year) and start at Richmond Park and bail early somewhere :)

  • You coming into Brixton to ride back out to Richmond would be straight up silly

  • Unless he wants a coffee from Stir Coffee. That would make sense.

  • My longest ride did that, went through RP about 70 miles in. Had been up since 4am and was sorely tempted to pack it all in. What points along the route have you found for bail-outs?

  • Boxhill and Westhumble - mile 26 - running to LDN
Gomshall - mile 33 - every 2 hours to LDN
Hascombe - mile 44 (3 mile ride to Milford St) - frequent to London
Ansteadbrook - mile 54 - (3 mile ride to Haslemere) - frequent to London
Ambersham - mile 66 - (10 mile ride to Haslemere) - frequent to London
Upwaltham - mile 76 - (18 mile ride to Haslemere) - frequent to London
Barnham - mile 83 - frequent to London
    Bognor - mile 88 - da end

Basically I think mile 54 is the last reasonable bailout point until about 6 miles from the end. Might be a station between the two but needs a further look.

  • What points along the route have you found for bail-outs?

Bail out point no 1 - Richmond

  • secret bail out point 0 - don't even get out of bed. (I employ this one too often for my own good).

  • I know I'm probably being dramatic etc but having attempted the previous year's Epic I just know they pick fun but tough routes
