  • Ok after reading that thread it looks like I should get the bb chased and faced. Also a new gxp bb installed.

Anyone know how much Evans charge for this? Will purchase a gxp bb there as well.

EDIT - Evans website says £25 including frame prep.

That usually covered under the bottom bracket service.

edit - notice you found this, if you are to take it to Evans, please be sure to tell the guy to write it down that you want it face and chase too.

  • Training. And some moaning.

The two go hand in hand.

  • But I think @hippy was route checking the London-Edinburgh-London route this weekend. As you do.

  • What's all this bokeh shit?

  • I have a friend who is looking for hipster-width silver risers in silver with a 26mm clamp. Where should I look? No, sorry, I mean, where should I tell the friend to look. I'm not a hipster.

  • Velosolo, if classifieds comes up empty.

  • Amazon have plenty of cheap one to offer.

  • I'm more than happy with my master blaster and @hulsroy loves his hpx, tbh I doubt you'd notice much functional differences it's just a matter of taste.

One small note is that my topeak fits nicely above and below my top tube which is handy for frame bags

  • Thanks. What size topeak did you get, am assuming XL as you ride big frames (like me) but their charts are a little unclear?

  • Not a clue sorry got mine as a present about 2 years ago, got the wrong size first time I can tell you that much.

  • Can anyone with one of these garmin mounts tell me if the bolt threads in to a nut (in which case I've lost it) or if it threads into the plastic itself (in which case I've stripped it)?

Is there a way to avoid Ryanair getting to Girona?

  • If serious question, bokeh is a word, from china or Japan I forget which, to describe the attractiveness of the blurred areas of a photo.
Typically wide aperture shots with a shallow depth of field. Also the more aperture blades, the more "round" the bokeh especially visible with points of light within the out of focus areas.
    :)

  • I was being serious. Hmmmmm.

  • I went Ryanair, wasn't taking a bike though as I hired one there. Friends have flown to Barcelona and taken train to Girona.

  • Is there a way to avoid Ryanair getting to Girona?

British Airways to the Cote d'Azur.

  • Is there a way to avoid Ryanair getting to Girona?

BA to Barcelona, pick up hire car from airport, tootle along to Girona, hire bikes there, profit.
