BUCS10 this weekend isn't it?
-
• #15078
Yeah. I might better 19:20 on that course. Conditions dependant.
Bradbury holds course record at 19:01. -

I can't remember, and I certainly don't mean to diminish his effort, but I thought Bradbury's 19:01 was set on a perfect float day too.
The H10/17 is a decent course but there are other local 10 courses that I would say are noticeably quicker (for me at least). On a good day I'd say that the H10/18 is around 30 seconds quicker than the H10/17 and that the F11 is worth at least a minute on either of the other two.

Yeah I heard that too. Hence might better 19:20.
I'm going better now than I was when I did 19:20. The weather did look decent for Saturday too. We'll see.
Plus I really want to win bucs, it'll be quite lucrative. So I'm properly motivated. Not that I can be lazy.

Even Sub-20 would guarantee a podium at BUCS 10 no? Hoping to do a sub-22 on Saturday but that puts the field into perspective!

I think Bradbury won by 1min margin last year, with his 19:01.
Thankfully he's not a student now! -
• #15083
It was bromiley no? He won both 10 & 25 last year! Didn't spot him on the startlist this year either so that's good news for the hitters

Oh maybe year before then was Bradbury.

Yah, Oxford and Cambridge alternate who promotes which TT each year so Cambridge organised the 10 in 2016, Oxford in 2015 etc. etc.
Bradbury's win was on the H10/17r in 2015.

Just noticed Matt Langworthy is racing. He put 30 seconds into me a few weeks back over a 10.
Going to have to find another gear, or 2.

Good to see that both James Hayden and Hadyn James are racing at high wycombe if you could get palandromic times this would be quite satisfying.

Good luck tomorrow, skinny!

You riding?
@umop3pisdn is off super early! Shame mate. I thought it'd be an afternoon things (didn't really look close at entry page). So bit bummed I'll have to get up early.
Thanks @Sam

If anyone does the LVCC 25 on the E2, I'm marshalling at the turn so give me a smile!
-
• #15092
yep, off number 71.
Will be interesting to see how I go, no power meter, new bike, purely trained for longer distance running for the last 3 months, but I've lost 4kg since last time I raced, and feeling strong running at the moment, so hopefully that translates!

Conditions look good for tomorrow (BUCS 10), super excited. As an aside has anyone experienced painful arches when riding? Went out earlier to spin the legs pre-tt and my whole left foot felt cramp (haven't changed position or anything) - anyone experienced this? Foam roll / stretch?
-
• #15095
haha, presume yu mean the running rather than the weight!? I do not have high hopes, but at least i'm only training for a marathon, and doing plenty of high intensity stuff along the way!
-
• #15097
Yeah I mean the running, although you're probably in a better position than me... I weighed myself for the first time in months and have put on 4kgs :'(
-
• #15098
Weighed myself yesterday and am currently the heaviest I've ever been. Not good.

Get your hair cut.
I really need to update my 10 time, so it's more in line with my 25.
Anyone able to book me another float day?
