My Shand has guards and 35c tyres and I'm never going back!
-
• #78
Glad you went for the big tyre version!

• #79
Have you heard about 650b? #inb4scobes

Will revisit in a few years.
For the silver years

This is currently in construction but will be delayed because I am not satisfied with any available forks. Whisky No 9 with fender mounts is way expensive and out of stock for a while.
I've managed to get a Parlee Gravel fork at 30% off U.S. retail so will collect it when I am in Seattle in about a month. I have realised that this should be a no compromise build so it's gonna take slightly longer. And I'm okay with that. The Parlee is everything the Enve GRD should've been in my opinion.

• #82
Oh that's a damn nice fork
-
• #83
Where'd you get the Parlee?
-
• #84
So, Dura Ace?
-
• #85
Ultegra di2 I reckon.
-
• #86
Ultegra is a compromise

• #87
Everything is a compromise

this should be a no compromise build
Things you'll soon regret having said thread >>>>

Okay take that with a pinch of salt. Still not buying dura ace dov.

You'll regret this forever. This decision will reverberate through eternity.

Parlee Gravel fork
@Tenderloin isn't joking, that is a seriously well appointed fork!
-
• #92
I like where this is going.
-
• #93
Are you gonna paint the fork?
-
• #94
Post mount though FFS
-
• #95
Looks just like my Pinnacle fork
-
• #96
Yeah not ideal but not a deal breaker. Though I am now curious. Middle fork - I can't find it anywhere. But looks to be Parlee, flat mount, disc, mudguard mounts, thru axle. I dunno where it came from. Have asked a guy who will know.
-
• #97
The holy trinity can happen if you are ok with Chyna fork as a stop gap .. also Spork and Talbot Fork?
-
• #98
Spork ugly. Talbot fork eta unknown. Stop gaps, Chinese or otherwise>>>
-
• #99
In that case I'd just go PM. Parlee might even be VERY close to releasing a flat mount version tbh.
-
• #100
Yeah exactly, hence why I've asked the guy who's getting the fork for me. He might be able to ask for one from them.
Lol wat?
Excited to see what you end up with. I nearly went down a similar route, but have decided to put off discs until there is a single good standard which plays nice. Will revisit in a few years.
