It is @t-v !
Tbh @TM I will likely keep the wound up unless I can get a deal on something else. I don’t love the Whisky, but maybe that’s because of the integrated head tube.
Having now used 105 a little more, I’m just incredibly impressed. The lack of modulation compared to discs is a little weird, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it in no time.

Unless there is a big performance benefit, keep the wound-up fork. It looks good to me.

Yeah, only reason I’d replace is for a bigger tyre but then, I can use the Talbot for bigger tyres...

I queried the lifespan of a Wound Up with Wound Up and got the following answer:
Thanks for the inquiry. Wound Up forks withstand fatigue heroically, and should last much longer than steel, aluminum or titanium forks. Because of their unique filament-wound construction, they should also outlast other carbon forks. While exact lifespans are specific to a given rider and her or his riding habits, we usually see our forks lasting for more than a decade with fairly heavy use. However, we recommend that your fork be replaced after ten years and being that it is used, this would be highly recommended. We do offer a courtesy replacement program for a new fork if interested. The price ranges from 30-40% off retail.
Am heavily considering this as I have slight fear in the back of my head of fork failure which is quite scary. I also enjoyed their use of heroically.

Great they offer a discount. This didn't make much sense though:

Not aware of many steel forks that need replacing after 10 years.

I thought the same. Not sure where he got that from - not sure he meant to mention steel!
The one big plus of a more modern Wound Up is they clear 28c. Something that I think I'd like....

Not sure where he got that from
from their lawyers, of course.

Is it 1 1/8? I would consider the Ritchey WCS road fork
