  • Hmmmm not buying it, still reckon you're a bit of a hitter when you wanna be

    blows kisses

  • I mean... I ride far, relatively quickly all things considered? But I don't do chain gangs or any of that stuff anymore. It's not like it's a slow bike anyway.

  • Comfort is everything.

  • This is not Matt's drawing, this is Scherrit's drawing from my fit measurements but still, progress.

  • you ARE a T-rex

    (just like me)

  • Will this be getting the doctor bobby treatment?

Can you get it painted to match the Panasonic?

  • If you ever decide to sell this... I'm here šŸ™‹

  • Bit early to be calling dibs, let's see if it makes it to fabrication first.

  • Discussions have now been had.

Internal routing for all cables and hoses
    Front/Rear dynamo lights
    QR front and rear (probs)
    68mm BB obvs
    Tapered headtube
    Ovalized top tube
    Tapered seat tube
Beefy downtube but not too beefy (can't remember size)
'Traditional' chainstays, as opposed to trademark Talbot T47 wishbone
Slight slope on top tube, 6 degrees I think
Clearance for 30c tyre with mudguard

Now to start thinking about paint...

    insert fat joke

sounds great JB, should be a lovely bike.

  • Or maybes cause I don't like 'em :-)

  • Why not bolt through? This is disc right?

  • Sounds like my Oak but with more tyre clearance.

  • Now to start thinking about paint...

  • You could try Mavic Speed Release, Enve should be releasing some compatible forks next year.

  • And fat tubes and discs and a tapered head tube and permanent lights and integrated cables and mudguards.

In fact, they sound nothing alike.

  • yeah cool

  • Tbh I don't really believe in the Enve/Chris King hype.

This bike will very much stick to being functional and sensible component wise. E.g. far more likely to go for Kinesis fork and Cane Creek headset than Enve/CK.

  • My Enve forks genuinely handle really nicely, a noticeable improvement in stiffness compared to other forks I've used. But I'm sure any decent pair will be good these days. You could stick with UK made and go for Hope bits.

  • My CAAD12 fork is conventional QR, I've been using the DT Swiss 9mm QR/Thru axle which is a nice halfway house in some ways - I can swap end-caps if going to a full 15mm thru-axle fork but as-is I can use in any QR fork.

  • Yeah, was gonna use those. I really don't care for thru axle's having spoken to Matt about them.

    Interesting: why's that?

  • Both racists.

  • subscribed for forthcoming bants

  • At least I don't have to ask if it will fit.
