  • Was just about to post a Citroën c1, too slow. Can't help with plates tho

  • No worries.

If it helps, this is the refreshed version which has only been on the road for ~2 years which might narrow it down a bit.

  • Ha. No worries. I spent the day on the parts washer.

Awesome paint or not, that golf is massively overpriced.

  • Perfect. And it's different from similar 107's and Aygo's?

  • Yup. Definitely a C1.

  • Great. I'll spend my weekend hunting friendly Poles in a council estate north of Copenhagen then!

  • The 911 had a date in Sussex:

Whilst I went and looked at trains:

This is now surplus to requirements:

  • Cruise and computer retrofit?

  • Cruise and computer retrofit?

    Computer, it already had cruise.

  • BMW 2007-2010 were affected and most came in for re-programming to prevent it.
Have not heard of later models being taken like that yet but maybe the scrotes have upped their game again.

  • Fill up the washer fluid... testers can be cunts.

But they're just doing their job.<

You would be surprised how bad some things have to be to actually fail them but at the same time any air freshener hanging from the mirror is a fail but is just removed and passed so you get a fail and a pass certificate together :D #testerbutnotacunt, sometimescalledonethough

  • Wheel off, three stalk unit removed, wiring loom extended, four stalk unit fitted, software recoded to accept stalk, wheel back on.

  • Grown used to having the data (fuel economy, distance to empty etc, average speed etc etc) in the Volvo and wanted it in the Porsche.

  • 25mpg, or as the Porsche puts it 11.4 litres per 100k

  • You know you can change that rite?

  • The fuel economy?

  • Or the imperial vs metric thing?

In which case apparently I can't as this car has a South African computer.

But if you know how, please do say.

  • It's in the SET bit in UK cars, bit odd if you can't do it on SA...

  • You can change the speed reading between miles and Km, but not the other figs

  • Odd indeed. You'd have thought the whole point of having a switchable computer is so you only need one for all markets. Maybe some local law there prohibits it, otherwise I can't see why they'd disable the function.

  • Well, looks like I've lost one of the keys to the 911. Hugely annoying.

@Hefty, where's the best place to get a replacement - Porsche for a million pounds, or is there another option?

Also annoyed that there's a key to my car out there somewhere.

  • There is the most rep'd post ever.

  • Porsche only I think.

Ask for a discount, they'll often give you 10% or so just for asking, or saying you're in the Porsche Club. At least they will in the provinces dunno about London, I hear people are grumpy down there.

I used to get 20-30% when I was spending a few thousand a month with my local OPC, which I guess is standard stuff so if you're nice to your local specialist they might be able to do you a deal.
