My pre cursa in everyday mode.

Hi guys!
I am with a doubt... I am 1.78m tall, 81.3cm inseam with the sneaker that I normally wear or 79.6cm without it, 59cm of arm and want to buy a frameset Pre Cursa.
I am in doubt between the frameset size 52 and 54. You who have these sizes of framesets, what are your measurements?
-
• #3204
You should probably look for 56 or 58 with your height...
-

Are the stack and reach numbers available anywhere for the Pre Cursa? It's a shame they don't list them.

52 if you want the lower stack front, 54 for more relaxed position. (I am 184 and did 54).

With your stature, 52 will feel like a child's bike.

I am 178 with slightly longer inside leg and I ride a 54. I have had a 56 in the past but it felt too big.
This is what the 54 looks like setup for my size; -

Looking good. Those new gun metal frames are great

Do you know how much your arm?
Which the size of the stem that you are using? -

Well yes and no, precursas have very small stack, but for guy that height, 52-54 are going to look like kid bikes with very long seat post and huge saddle-bar drop
Of course they having small stack can be good thing if you ride on track and want to be full aero but on the streets...nah.
I'm 175 and 54 was pretty much spot on.

Does anyone know the stack and reach of frames 52 and 54? Looking for something of the 56, but with an old layout, 2012 or 2013.

The velodrome in Manchester would put you on a 55.
I don't know how accurate this is but this is what I worked out for my 2015 52:
Stack 509
Reach 399That's based off their chart and their fork spec neither which might be accurate and an assumed 50mm Bb drop. Not sure if the new frames are actually any different.

Woof woof.
Ace.
Specs please, gear ratio and tyre size :) -

Not it's current setup, but it was Navigators, Sram S300, 48/17 or 48/18, Tektro levers and brakes, Ritchey stem, saddle and seatpost, a Specialized Toupé 143 that cracked on that ride, the worlds shittiest tyre - Conti UltraSport 23c - on the front and a Conti Cyclocross Race 35c in the rear. Wasn't the optimal tyre choice, but it survived a mix of gravel, sand, ocean floor, tarmac and dirt.
Edit: And a Hope 1(?) and a random Smart front light...

Yea, also got conti cx race 35c :) i reckon a 30-32c would max out my Alpina road fork on my FXE, i can't push your gear ratio though :) 42x16 for my weak knees and 42x22 for off roading.

I have a Cannondale Save fork for it now, which has decent clearance. It'll probably end up with mudguards and Kojaks next time I build it up. And I've also seen the light of spinny gears since then ;)

love your knees :)

So, for the record, has anyone managed to fit omniums to a pre cursa, either by spacers (not reccomended I know), or frame modification?
Alternatively, what other frames are out there in the same mould as the pre cursa i.e. cheap, utilitarian, attractive, good all rounder type frames that WILL take an omnium?

If you look up a few posts, there's one...

Find the former black PC second hand and lush your omniums
Just an addition on standover.
My 56cm FXE on 28mm tyres is a smidge under 81cm :)
