They're owned by the same company

Tredz are great. Use them alot and they give a loyalty discount when you spend enough over a year.
-
• #54
So do merlin

Free delivery with no minimum spend plus good discounts. I only purchased a jersey from them (last week actually) and it arrived promptly. Also had 3 Haribo packs inside which sells it for me. :)

I'm going out on a limb here but I think their main issue is stock.
-

Also, I have observed that Rapha is nice, but pricey.

And yet they categorically denied this to me.
Which was clearly a lie after a quick look at their websites and addresses.
Searching for Wheelies' online reputation vs. Tredz' explains why.

OK, I guess technically they may not be owned by a parent company, but check out the details of each.

Quite.
Shister-mongers, the pair of them.
-
• #62
It's weird they would just outright deny any connection

I had a problem with a Tredz order and did a little digging.
When I wrote to them, I highlighted the woeful experience of very many people with their sister-company.
At which point they claimed no relationship.

Pre-ordered myself a front rack.
Got a call to say it wouldn't be in stock for an additional 20 days... next day it's registered as dispatched.
I think they just need improved communications with their wholesalers. To be fair, customer service have been nice people, which helps.

Similarly, pre-ordered a seatpost, dispatched the next day with two bags of haribo.
-
• #66
This seems their raison d'etre
They exist to purely piss people off
Then strangely, overcompensatedly satisfy them almost immediately
"Your item is out of stock and will not be available until next year...... yet your item has been despatched yesterday"

Tredz, y u so shit? Ordered some Hope RS4 hubs on the 3rd of January, u take my money then send me an email to say that you don't have them in stock till the 12 Jan. I then ring today to see if u r dispatching them then you tell me that's been knocked back to the 19 Jan. I get the feeling that the date of the 19 Jan is being made up. Avoid if in a hurry.

I was tempted to use them.. but.. "Pre-OrderDue in 30/05/2017"
le sigh.
-

Tredz just gave me a £10 voucher with no minimum spend. So that's a pair of free cone spanners.
-
• #70
That's how they suck you in, maaaan. They give you a taste of something sweet and then they try to ruin your life.

I've always had a good experience with them. I bought some £1k wheels, arrived in 2 days, bought some tools which arrived equally quick. Recently I bought some bar tape but they didn't have it in stock, they called me the next day to say so and ask if I wanted to wait or cancel.

I've not used them online but have been in store.a few times.
Wheelies/tredz owned by two brothers, the online presence is pretty much the same thing. Recently been snapped up by halfords for a few quidses. -
• #73
I have used them many times...no issues so far!
-
• #74
I was tempted to use them.. but.. "Pre-OrderDue in 30/05/2017"
My work switched their Cycle to Work providers to Cyclesolutions (another Wheelies/Tredz company) a little while ago. For some reason, half of the bikes listed on their website aren't available on Cycle to Work, and another quarter of the bikes are all "Pre-OrderDue in...."
Probably the first take over by Halfords where you hope they can sort out the company they're buying

Bought a chain and a chain cleaner kit last weekend and arrived a couple days later, with 2 packs of mini haribo.
Never experienced any issues but I've only bought a couple of low value items
And y tredz email frum Wheelies?!!?!!!?
