Hmm, Brompton would entail a 3 mile ride on a busy and fast dual carriageway to Harlow Town. Or alternatively 4 miles on a slightly terrifying national speed limit country road to Roydon station. Not sure I could go fast enough on a Brompton to feel safe.
Either way would also entail a 10 mile ride from Tottenham Hale to Victoria by Brompton.
Now, I've not tried a Brompton before, so maybe that'd be fine but I imagine at 6'6" I might struggle?
@Marron I don't necessarily mind riding around in the dark, but it gets boring filtering in the dark in the bleak wasteland between Tottenham and Cheshunt.

On a longish commute I've done now and again (Ealing - Brockley) I was lucky enough to be able to use a train even in rush hours as I was travelling opposite the main crowds, so if I didn't feel like 1hr20m commute both ways I could mix it up with some pubic transport. I guess @TurtleRecall you're not so fortunate? Time to get a Brompton?
