  • Oh, and I mean 'my' race was crap, nothing against the course or the organisers or whatever.

  • What do I need to do to get the missus into a race?

    Tell her you'll be her support team.

  • Anybody want to buy a Dash?

  • Don't like yours?

    I have a Tri.7 I've never used. I've just bought three Adamos maybe I should just get rid of it. It's sooooooo light!!!

  • Not getting on with it. It's a narrow though, standard might be ok. Back to the Adamo for the BDCA 100.

    It is obscenely light!

  • I'll probably part with my Sitero and I have another PN1.1 to get rid of, off the Tarmac.

  • hmm, possibly - how much?

  • Which ISM model has the narrowest nose?

  • The old podium was pretty narrow. Dunno what it's called these days.

  • http://ismseat.com/

    Attack = PN1.0
    Breakaway = PL1.0
    Podium = retired

    PN = performance "narrow" so is probably what you are after, although it refers to the back more than the nose (which can be squeezed inwards if required).

  • Nice ^^^^

  • What is it like to ride those bars?

    CTT illegal :-)

  • Anyone who knows me will laugh at this, but I've decided to try some TTs. I've just completed the 'A Race' of my season and want something a bit different to focus on for a bit.

    So i've entered the Epsom CC 25 mile TT in late sept.

    I'll be doing it on a road bike and know i won't get a good time, but want to give it a crack and see how hard i can push myself.

    I know nothing about the world of TTs. Any insight and tips for a n00b? Am going to try some sessions on the turbo working out roughly what power i should be aiming for on the day. What kinda stuff would it be useful for me to know and do in advance?

    ta!

  • Do you know your ftp? Just ride to that.

  • It doesn't matter how you race, what matters is how nonchalantly you can sit on your top tube before the start.

    Nail that and we might reveal further secrets to prepare you for next season.

  • yep i do. and that's more or less what i was going to do really!

    @hippy i'll start practicing in the mirror. can i send a pic for your feedback and analysis?

    At least you'll get a PB. And when the bug bites and you end up fitting a pair of aerobars, you'll probably PB again.

    IRT CTT Open Events like you have entered - Even though you have entered, it's not a guarantee you'll get a ride unfortunately. It comes down to many factors, for example; course popularity, time in the season, how many entrants that are faster than you, etc. As you don't currently have a LTS time (a 25PB time over the last 3 seasons) the event organiser will select entrants that do have a LTS over yourself. You'll probably get a ride as it's late in the season though :)

  • If its the G25/54 then there's a 'hill' of sorts after a couple of miles on each lap. Try not to push too hard up it both times as once over the top you do drop again slightly but then still have a slight gradient to tackle for a short while after. There's plenty of roundabouts, the far turn is usually marshaled, but study the course on Google Maps first. As the finish is not long after the bottom of the hill mentioned, the last 1 3/4 miles are fast, so go eyeballs out.

  • Send to: indifferenceiseverything@gmail.com where one of our team might respond.

  • My mate is the club tt Secretary so not too worried about that 😁 . But good point.

    @Sam great course nerdism, thank you. Def get onto Google maps... Know your enemy etc

  • Hehe... I built up a new front end over winter, and have been riding/racing it since March.
