Nice watch. Have come close to pulling the trigger on one. Post pics!

Will do once I've removed a bunch of bracelet links, need to pick up a second mini screwdriver. Seems to be cracking value for money but the audible Miyota movement will take a bit of getting used to.
New page needs some watch pron, found the first Panerai that I like.

PAM48 - a classic. 40mm no? Not a fan of the bracelet though

Have been looking for a Tour D'Italie or Giro D'Italia for a long time and this has just arrived. Kid at Christmas right now.

I had that exact watch, the bracelet is gorgeous in the flesh. Only thing that I would change is to a sandwich dial. It ended up getting flipped for a JLC.

A 40mm 2007 Pam50 apparently, from http://www.lunaroyster.com/watches/2007-panerai-luminor-pam050-40mm-on-bracelet-box-papers-pam-50

Nice!

Yes, adding the bracelet to a 48 makes it a 50 apparently. I wonder how much it would cost to buy the bracelet separately? I saw a very nice white faced version the other week, pretty different for a Panerai. My ideal Panerai is the 44mm power reserve with centre seconds, PAM27.

Thanks. The cycling story is that Breitling provided official timing for a number of races in the early 50's including the Giro (or Tour D'Italie in French) and made commemorative watches. This is a 1951 model.

Bearing in mind the value of womens watches I started looking for a nice vintage piece for my wife. Looking on eBay I spotted this which looked interesting and super cheap. Could be a fixer-upper for you @Stonehedge
