  • This is sort of interesting http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/08/trainingpeaks-adds-strava-segment-integration.html

I don't use live segments as i use laps on my garmin to seperate out efforts, but could be a useful alternative

  • -134 tsb at my deepest.

2600tss in 7 days. or 3200 for the whole thing.

    728tss in first 24h.

    Ha! Superman.

  • And I was feeling quite good as I finally get back to around 80.

  • Yeah, very fit, but can't ride anywhere as so broken.

80 is good. Can race very well off 80.

  • I hope the recovery is swift. I meant to ask, did the neck hold up ok?

  • Neck was perfect! Thanks.

Yeah, swift, but not too swfit. I want a good excuse to be lazy for a while!!

  • Amaze! So how long until it predicts your form is back to normal?

Also is that first ramp up on your ATL the before chest infection? Looks steep, you must have been smashing it.

  • ERm, we'll I'm +30 tsb today, so technically recovered, but my body is still mullered. Still suffering from slept debt and I've strained the tendon behind my knee. It'll be another 2 weeks off the bike, or very easy rides. At minimum. Important to be fully recovered.

Yeah that was teh first day, 720TSS in 24h.

  • Wow. Kudos to you, i followed you and @hippy with interest and was constantly blown away by the effort required.

  • Thats insane.

I've done an epic TSS day before. I've even dipped below -115 before.

After neither of these occasions did I ride my bike for quite some time. Cant imagine getting on the saddle repeatedly when feeling like that.

    Epic effort.

  • @skinny, how were you recovering day to day?

How were you getting any decent food when you had a break, and how did you manage all the general leg-destruction without being able to stretch / roller etc?

    I presume just epic HTFU?

  • Yup, the last one.

    Recovery!? Pah.

You just get weaker and weaker, till peddling 150w is all you can do.

I walked into this restaurant at teh bottom of the furka pass. I looked at the waiter, before even seeing a menu and said 1 magertira, 1 ham. He looked at me confused, a skinny guy, 2 pizzas. After some arm flapping, he understood I was infact in need of 2 pizzas. I ate them both before they'd even chilled. And within 30 mins was back on the road, having raided their kitchen for every banana they could provide.

    It's an eating competition.

  • That's amazing. How fucked did you feel the day it was all done? Could you even speak!??!?

  • Talking was just about all I could do. And it was not very sensical.
I finished in a lot worse state than most people.

  • You weren't trying hard enough. :P

-174.6 lowest TSB on Sat 6th
4743 TSS for the 12 days
    828 TSS for day 1

  • You looked pretty busted up!
I'd lost sense of the race with days remaining so was just pushing to the finish rather than racing anyone. I think I'd had enough pain in the first week.

  • Ha that's good numbers. You were trying some!!

Maybe my Ctl was higher coming in.
And my ftp a bit higher.

  • I got most of my files back after the soaking but I'm missing about 350k from Sinj in Croatia to Pluzine.

  • I just checked.
The uber sportive that left me broken was 670
    TSS.
You guys are either hard as fuck or insane or both. Probs both.

  • My second day was just over that TSS. :)

  • Any feedback on the massage at Cadence? I'd like to give one a try but don't know where to go.

  • Rub a dub dub, three men in a tub...

  • Whats methods are they in improving riding out of the saddle? I never seem to find a nice rhythm long enough to sustain before i sit in the saddle. I seem to be a sit down climber rather than a contador

  • So sit down. Problem solved.
