thru axles is a must given how much flex go through, on MTB it's forgiveable since you're having too much fun to worry about the rotor rubbing, but on a road bike it's eeringly noticable.

Those chainsets look awful. They remind me of those cheapo riveted plastic chainsets you get on bottom-of-the-range mountain bikes.
They look tacky.
