Yeah!, it was to many holes from old mounts to fill out with welds so i made some circles with sandpaper all over the fenders a couple of times :)
Then two layers of clearcoat to protect from rust.

Such a mix of themes! You've got the HHS paint-job, retrogrouch leather, functional racks and then some aero bars to top it off. Still looking strong, though I'd hold off on the leather. Those mudguards are lovely.

Thanks guys! I always like the mix of old and new, thats why its alot of themes. But i feel like the balance is still there :)

OG profile design padding.
DIY leather padding.

Can't fault your craftsmanship, but will those bolts be a problem with your (bare) forearms you think?
-
• #241
i reckon the bigger problem will be that leather being very sweaty. Nice work all the same
-
• #242
Bolts are recessed more than what it looks like in the pictures :)
About the sweat i dont know yet, leather is waxed and feels super soft and smooth.
when I was out and tested positions i rided without padding and it was pretty comfy, so i think three layers of leather will do the work.

It's a reasonable concern if he's doing time trialing, ironman, triathlon or ultra endurance like the TCR (unless he is doing that).

• #244
And I presume that his shimano hoods are a bigger concern. ;)

• #245

My friend Erik and i did a little stearing bag today, it was pretty tricky beacuase you dont want to take to much space from the front rack and you need to go around those tempo bars.
I welded a little loop on the rack to get the bag a little steadier when riding on bad roads.
I can still have a 24 pack of small bers on the rack under the bag and thats most important haha! , the bag itself also have room for exact 3 cans of small beers .
This time we had to compromise a little on the look to get all the functions i want.
Superhappy with the "easy to grab" camera slot and a slot for some extra Snus! :)
pics will talk as usual.
Dope. I like the brushed look. Now you just gotta get your flap game goin ;)
