Yes it is. The Frame is from the high end PX10, only forks are the cheaper version.

If you haven't decided I vote for a coffe racer resto job, one of those nice swept back bars with no rise (usually came on ladies road bikes in 70ties/ 80ties), new cables, tires and a cotton bar tape, clean, polish, oil and grease everything . Sand down the rust, 2xclear coat over all and wax it. Enjoy your new old bike with style ;)

Love that idea. I am really thinking the clearcoat over the aged look. Going to put a modern spin on it. Classic frame with modern 11 speed. Loving the cotton bar tape. Gum wall tyres??

Brooks saddle has arrived as the old 3ttt plastic one was really brittle and cracked.

Gum walls for sure, reckon you have place for 30-32c under those mudguards? What groupset are you going for? I got a really nice and thick cotton bar tape from rosebikes (comes just in black though) but much beefier then the other ones I saw...

Look like it's designed for a Simplex derailleur.
Usually you can't fit normal derailleur on it (oddly enough Sinplex derailleur can be fitted on either Campag and Simplex).

Stem has finally arrived. Can really get the build going now.

Is that one of the 3ttt stems with the brilliant little grub screw for loosening the clamp?
-
• #74
It is indeed. I was looking at the grub screw earlier trying to see what it was for. I'm assuming to open the clamp to make it easier to remove. Am I right?
-
• #75
Exactly - it opens up the clamp a little bit. It's one of those things that once you've seen, you wonder why it's not on every stem :-)
It is a Reynolds 531 frame. The sticker is partally still there. There are no pump mount points either. Also the seatpost pin is 26.4 mm which I am told is only on the higher models
