VK05 BHF
Black Audi hatchback (quelle surprise) driven by a little white man who's internet-bought blue pills had clearly failed to make any meaningful change in size to his flaccid micropenis having a screaming fit as I (for once) remained quite calm enjoying the sunshine and explained to him the Highway Code. He said he knew all about it but that soon turned to "fuck the Highway Code" when it became clear that he didn't.

Axis Europe driver EN12 PWY knocked me off my bike and failed to stop in Farringdon this afternoon. Police report filed and all that good stuff but a quick google reveals he, or at least the van, have form so just a heads up to in case anyone else is unfortunate enough to encounter this charmer out there

This charming chump almost ran over me with his rear wheels, pulling in well before he passed me. Then he got out of his cab to threaten me with all sorts of guff.
All this on my way home from teaching lorry drivers safe urban driving.

Their usual MO is to murder a prostitute.

Make sure his FORS sticker is gone.

The company don't appear to be FORS accredited.

What possible complaint did he have?

Very Jeremy Clarkson of you.

Got home to this yesterday - luckily not my beemer under the rubble.
Apparently the result of an attempted three-point turn by an elderly neighbour. He also ploughed through the garage on the opposite side of the road.

My daily commute route , have never had a problem like this before... I don't think I was in his blind spot, either way, he sould have indicated before turning not indicate and turn at the same time...
(I am not sure how to make it play here within the forum...)

have you considered cycle training? People do this to me most days. Never be by the rear door at junctions...
-
• #6819
you can get away with filtering up the inside by a junction 99/100 but it's that 1/100 that's going to get you.
You can't expect them to indicate perfectly every time. You're not going to be knocked off by a driver drving according to the highway code, you're going to be knocked off by someone driving badly. It's shit observation by the car driver for sure but the moral high ground is no use when you're dead.
Got to agree, should be expecting the car to turn left and not be going up the inside of it at a junction. Either hang back or pull into the space behind it.

It's a shit manoeuvre from them but not that uncommon. Coming up to a junction like that you really want to plonk yourself in the middle of the lane so that for a driver to turn left on you they'd have to actually pull right out and do it deliberately. Be either behind or in front of the car, not alongside it.

I opened this thread a while ago but only typed my response recently. Felt a bit cruel discovering a whole succession of similar posts.

If you're intending to go straight on at a junction, putting yourself on the inside of something that might turn left is pretty daft. I'd blame the driver if they overtook and then immediately turned left but that's obviously not the case.
If that Fiesta were an HGV it might've killed you.

Agree with what everyone is saying here, bad driving yes, but to be expected. Just avoid that situation at all costs.

You put yourself in their blind spot. Don't go up the inside of moving vehicles.
As others have said, if there's contact then it's not Roadsafe.
