I like the 511db but none of the DT stuff comes in 36h for the rear and my fat arse.

Oh, I received my dynamo hub from @CarlosBI and it's with @scherrit waiting for me to find some suitable rims to use with it.

Shame about TransAM, but it'll be interesting to watch you and @skinny battle it out...

I think it'll be @skinny and Ultan, that type of rider. Far too lumpy for me.
So, long as I'm not like worse than mid-field I think I'll be happy to finish. Obviously I'm aiming for the party but other than that I can't be fucked with mapping so I'm not going to plan a superfast route and I'll just be testing kit and mind/body to see what I can do.
TransAm route is better for me because the riders that excel on the climbs still have to battle across loads for flat shit and then there's the eating...

32 is enough
36 doesn't provide more resistance.
Some years ago the problem was the lower quality of spokes, nowadays it is easier to break the rim or similar probability than spokes.

Notubes Alpha 340 or 400 if you prefer.

I shied away from the 340's as the spokes are reputed to need constant tightening(?), they are super light and teethgrinder used them. The grail look sexier too with their deeper section.

Where are your Stans Grails coming from? How much are they per rim?
