(first post here, hope I'm doing this right)
Along the escalators in MAS, the museum in the Antwerp harbour, are pictures and quotes from WWI, when Belgians were on the run from the violence of the war and became refugees in the UK.
A case of history repeating, except now we are not the refugees.
Ironically, one of the quotes said: 'we will remember the Brits because they treated us well in our time of need'.
I am afraid that this time, us Europeans will not be remember that way.

Demolition/McClintock St

Came across this on a rat run going home. The digger is sitting about a storey up on the remains of one of the Belfast Tech buildings. The building was a particularly ugly utilitarian block. It's to be replaced, however, by a private development of student accommodation, one of a half-dozen or so which are in the process of going up around the town. All the developments charge or plan to charge a premium for their flats and many of them have caused controversy at the planning stage.

Rhodes Must Fall
Students march beneath a statue of Cecil Rhodes, Oriel College, Oxford. The students are protesting about the legacy of the university's colonial history and demanding that the statue of Cecil Rhodes be removed.

was a tough decision though, I was torn between two that I thought both deserved the win.

Really good entries again this week, I was chocka all week and completely forgot, need to pull up my socks for this week's

Voted! I found this week's subject to be the toughest so far, mainly as where I live is quite quiet. It did get me out of the house and shooting though, which has to be a good thing.

My second choice was this portrait of a hitch hiker, really weird taking photo's of strangers but quite fun.

Well done everyone that got out of their comfort zone!
