Lately, when I go to a new (unread) page of a thread, or go back to "following", it automatically sends me to the bottom of the page (as if I did scroll down after the page loaded).

..is not happening anymore / site's working properly again since yesterday evening for me.

Also I recall when this was happening my adress bar only showed https://www.lfgss.com - not https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/131364/?offset=5750#comment12768649 for example.

Sounds like you were part of a cohort that was targeted for some user experiments by the Chrome team.

That must be it.

By the way what's the deal with those "Avatar for..." placeholders with some users?

It might have been because I had one of the generic snowflake-y avatars before.

..ah, those "gravatars", right.. forgot about them.
Ghostery blocks them, so that text is displayed instead.
Surprised this is capable of breaking in the actual post though like in the example above!

On Chrome and Windows 7 (and I think, but not 100% sure, on Chromebook) Ghostery just blocks them with no placeholder text. I have gravatar set on block.

Selecting text from a comment and then hitting 'Reply' doesn't paste the selected text with a '>' in front anymore, so you can easily quote (parts of) a comment. Instead it pastes the text and puts the '>' behind it:

Chrome on iOS has been updated. First item on the list of what's fixed was the scroll issue.

I can't login with Chrome on iOS - at least not on my phone. Can't get Persona to login. Once I've got the Persona login screen and hit enter it either takes me straight back to LFGSS but without logging me in or it takes me to a screen saying 'Error, please close this page.'

Are you using private browsing?
Do you have pop ups disabled?

From memory both of these things cause issues.

Neither on my phone. I can oddly login to Persona on Chrome and I'm now logged in via Safari. But doesn't want to know with Chrome on the phone.

When you enter a thread it no longer seems to go to latest unread post, just the top of the page. io6, chrome

Check the App Store for yesterday's chrome update. Fixes this issue.

Clicking certain links is broken. For example the link in the comment below:

When I click the link the comment above, it redirects me to http://www.lfgss.com/comments/12789723/link/ instead of the Ebay page.

Again Chrome for OS X, version 48.0.2564.103 (64-bit).

When writing a PM, only the first user entry box gives a user suggestion drop down list.

The latter ones don't.

Ditto on Chromebook too.

It may just be me or my browser, but I can't see the whole attendance list on the Wayne's funeral event thread, only the first 25. Should it show all or has that not been implemented yet? Does this happen for anyone else? (I can't remember clicking on such a large attendance list before.)

It only shows the first 25, though the event owner can download a CSV file of all participants.

I thought as much (although unaware of the .csv file mechanism). I'd like to see it all eventually unless that makes opening the window for it too difficult, e.g. having a scroll bar mechanism. Obviously, not a priority, even if it can be done.
