I'd love a filter for the porn thread that ignores colnagos and bikes with quill stems
-
• #5728
Putting saarf on ignore would be a start.

iPhone (Safari?) users: Does anyone else find that selecting sections of text (specific quoting for example) really difficult on this forum?
-
• #5731
Am I taking crazy pills, or has the font of the forum slightly changed? Seems a tiny bit thicker or more crisp.
-
• #5732
It's not just you.
Font is definitely heavier on my iPhone.

New font looks "classy".
Just noticed that the body of the page is now black and the LFGSS in the header is just outlines now.
Made me stare at the letters LFGSS a while.
Decided it would be cool to rename the forum Le FGSS. -
• #5734
It's black for a reason.

the forums order has changed? number of comments wins out. or have i just sorted it somehow?
-
• #5736
It was always number of comments wins.
But I used to have far more pinned at the top.
Now that I've put all of the city ones in one bucket, and everything fits on the home page... there was no reason to have so many pinned ones.
The only real side effect of that is that 2 forums are near the top of the page when they didn't used to be: Classifieds, Miscellaneous.
I've kept General pinned.

Lately, when I go to a new (unread) page of a thread, or go back to "following", it automatically sends me to the bottom of the page (as if I did scroll down after the page loaded).
Anyone else experiencing this?
Win7 / latest FF here. -
• #5738
When you go back, is one of two things happening:
1) The URL contains a #comment2464684 bit (i.e. it jumps to that)
2) Your browser is being smart and taking you back to the bit of the page that you were last reading, because you've pressed backThere is nothing that the site is doing that has changed, or would do anything outside of the above. Which would make it a browser issue.
-
• #5739
It happens both when going back to the "following" page as well as, like I said, unread pages, where there can't be a "bit of the page you were last reading".
The URLs do not contain any special bits.
So browser issue then though that's weird as my brother hasn't changed either. -
• #5740
Ah, but he may have changed the browser.
-
• #5741
Who?
-
• #5742
Your brother.
-
• #5743
Boom
-
• #5744
Haha in-brain auto-correct not working, meant to say browser hasn't changed obv.
-
• #5745
I'm getting the opposite, when I click for an unread update in the 'following' list I go to the top of the page not to the first unread post. Means a lot of scrolling and re-reading the same posts before realising I've read that bit already.
I'm guessing it's either an iPhone update or chrome update that's cause this. Bit annoying.
Don't ask me to debug this as although I'm not a total Luddite, I am a buyer when it comes to IT so sit happily on the apple Eco system, overpaying, knowing that some sexless nerd has already made my stuff work with my other stuff.

Having exactly the same issue with Chrome and iPhone\iPad. Started happening about a week ago?
-
• #5747
Oh good, I was wondering if it was just me and something I'd done.
-
• #5748
How odd.
Absolutely nothing has changed on the site in that time.
I'm starting to suspect a browser bug... is it just Chrome on iOS? That seems to be the common theme.
-
• #5749
I'm sure it is, Chrome last updated on the 27th Jan on ios, so they have obviously buggered something up.
-
• #5750
Can't see anything here that obviously would screw it up?
What's New in Version 48.0.2564.87
This version uses WKWebView, the latest rendering engine from Apple, which should be faster and more stable. The crash rate was reduced by 70% and JavaScript execution is now dramatically faster! This release also includes:
• Redesigned icons on the New Tab page: easier access to more of your frequently-visited sites
• Spotlight integration: Drag down or right from the Home screen and search for your Chrome bookmarks
Or a different coloured NEW sign for threads you havent read as people often add new items?
