Also worth considering Xenonauts, spiritual successor to the original with none of your fancy 3d graphics!

Also re-bought Ground Zero's. Then spent 15 min trying to get the controller to map the same way as TPP. Gah

Have heard nothing but dreadful things about it!

• #14911
It is supposed to be absolutely terrible. And not "lol, this is terrible." Unfinished cash grab.
Haven't played it though.

Yahtzee's videos should be treated as gospel.
@DethBeard - If you're looking for something Godzilla-like I can definitely recommend Omegalodon: http://store.steampowered.com/app/248350/

Thanks for the tip but I am a playsatan-ist, no PC gaming for me

Started building shit in Fo4. Bit of a laugh isnt it? I think I could get into it but god damn its going to be a time sink. Any tips? I'm looking at you @edscoble So far I have knocked up a big wood hut and a water pump thing in my home town. Dealing with those raiders in the town thing was too tough.
Also, The Division looks bloody good. I finally binned off my Xbox (if anyone wants to buy it with 2 controllers I'm after £40 and can prob chuck in a game or two) and integrated my dual boot HTPC/Hack into my Audio/Visual set up (put it in the record cabinet my TV sits on), pretty pleased with how it's all come together.
Now to resist upgrading it. -

Have gone a bit nuts with settlement building. I've been constructing full on shops and marketplaces and filling them with appropriate crap from the wasteland, a few fancy lit bars too which thankfully enough get used by all the settlers come 8pm. Got my 1st tier 4 trader to come to sanctuary although I'm wary to try any more as there's lots of complaints about bugs where they never turn up. Was almost a bit weary of trudging about aimlessly until I decided to investigate some far off laser fire in the night's sky, stumbled on a brotherhood assault on a super mutant camp whilst gunners were trying to steal the vertibird and raiders were further up the hill taking potshots. Someone nuked the vertibird which set off 3 car explosions, finally almost everyone's dead and I have a 5 min sniper battle with a legendary super mutant overlord who's way above my level. The loot was ridiculous too, nearly doubled my cache of fusion cores and had tonnes of ammo. Pretty much reinvigorated my interest right there. Also just completed the Covenant scenario which felt a lot more fallouty and interesting

My covenant bash did not end well. NPCs bugging left right and centre = mucho dead characters and a Curie who 'disliked that'.
I've given up on fallout. Got a bit peeved at having built an enormous multi floored warehouse of a base in Starlight (covering almost the entire area) only to be cock-blocked by the building limits and not be able to add any more items (i.e. walls or beds or anything of use).
I know there is a way with mods but I'm not into that. There's supposed to be some glitch to extend base sizes indefinitely by dropping guns from your inventory then selecting them and sending them to the store or something but it sounded like too much hard work.
Might return to it post Tomb Raider but in no rush. If I do it will definitely be a new character. I got up to level 137 or something and it was next to no fun basically one-shotting everything and being almost invulnerable even to behemoths.

^On that note I must say the skill tree isn't my favourite in FO4. Skyrim and others where you specialise and develop a certain angle seem to encourage you to put a bit more thought into it. Reminds me - August = Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Read something promising about this:
Also, regarding the talk of Tomb Raider, personally I find it to be a pretty bland bog standard action-adventure, with a bunch of unnecessary quicktime events. Endless back-tracking across previous levels in order to revisit the (optional!) tombs because you couldn't enter them the first time because you didn't have some arbitrary piece of equipment. I mean MGS could get away with backtracking across the same levels due to the hardware restrictions of the time, these days it just comes across as lazy.
And that's not to mention the fact that Lara seems to have several different voice actors throughout the course of the game.
