Cheers @hippy As a drummer, I have thumbs of steel; even they seem no match for this rubbery French beast. Will try the overnight trick, but never seemed to have as much hassle getting any Michelins on as this lot.

You using particularly thick rim tape? What rims are they? Campag and confidential were a tight combo.
