That's funny. Weren't Mclaren something like 4-5 secs off the pace last year. Gaining 2.5 secs (unlikely) won't make much difference...
No one is doing blown exhausts. It's not allowed, nor possible.
Ilmor's input will be into Renault, not Red Bull.

This is why I should proof read before hitting send.
I shouldn't have used the term blown exhausts, but I couldn't think of the proper term, for performance gains (against competitor designs) from the new exhaust set ups.
However, memory did serve me correctly, in that Redbull and Ilmor did have engine discussions, possibly before getting officially involved with Renault.

Isn't Redbull using the Renault PU, with modifications, and rebadging it (as TAG Heuer PU)? And wasn't it Redbull that had employed Mario Illien as an advisor first, before showing Renault the ideas and proof of concept from Ilmor?

I don't get it. Yet another layer of management. How will that help with a underpowered engine? And getting rid of Jonathan Neale doesn't make a lot of sense. Can someone explain this to me please?
I don't know Jonathan Neale, but it smacks of smoke and mirrors, to me. Capito comes in, and with an upgraded engine, it will look like he's done something positive, yet it was in the works anyway. Mysterious.

He's such a simpering tit.

Gratuitous drift (sic) but as far as adaptive re-use of winter sports venues goes, this is more fun to watch.

^That's amazing - never wanted a motorbike before but do now. To ride down a luge track.

Maddison is super talented. That's some really nice riding!

I'm hearing suggestions that Maldonado will not be driving this year (for Renault at least)! Nothing official yet mind. That won't be until next Wednesday...

Something about PDVSA not stumping up the sponsorship cash, I gather.

Schumacher isn't doing so good according to the news.

Depends if you listen to Luca Di Montezemolo or Schumacher's manager.
I'd be inclined not to listen to Luca.

In a choice between Luca and a PR guy............
http://sport360.com/article/formula-one/47203/fernando-alonso-expecting-big-gains-mclaren-if-logical-solutions-prevail
Alonso thinks 2.5 seconds gain is possible. And Adrian Newey thinks that Honda's PU will have the biggest gains over the off season, since they, Red Bull, were allowed to see data in their failed negotiations for a new PU.
Team Haas say they are targeting Q2 and points from the very first race. Is this just promotional talk, to get more investors on board, or is the a reasonable expectation?
My prediction is that Nico finishes the year above Lewis on points. The momentum he built up towards the end was immense.
Lastly, which team will be the one to design the most effective blown exhaust system? If Newey does, that would put Redbull right back into the game.
Its a couple months away, but I'm excited at Haas, Honda and Renault. Ilmor's input at Redbull will be interesting too.
