  • No formal announcement yet, but an interesting fact in yesterday's Grauniad piece...

In August, Channel 4 took a minority stake in Whisper Films, the sports production company part-owned by Coulthard and BT presenter Jake Humphrey.

  • Boom. I quite liked Jake, in a minor public school kinda way.

I'll miss Suzi Perry though. It was great having a female face amongst all the old tax exile men.

  • Murray Walker ;)

  • With Bruce Forsyth?

  • And Phil and Paul in the pit lane?

  • Like or loathe Murray, it certainly sounded more interesting with him, even if the racing wasn't great! (He gave Private Eye a column inch or two also)

  • Jimmy Carr?
    Jon Snow?

  • Maybe Countdown could spare Rachel Riley for the occasional weekend?

  • Jason Bradbury is the worst television presenter ever.

  • Chris Evans?

  • BBC iPlayer is terrible on Virgin media, at least All4 works. I can't watch F1 until after the boys are in bed, anyway.

  • C4 have just announced it will be.....
    Ant & Dec.

  • John McVie and Mick Fleetwood have a penchant for Hawaiian shirts which could help us forget EJ's fashion choices.

  • But Mick Fleetwood has already proved that he can't present to save his life.

  • my dads 80th birthday this year
would like to take him to the british grand prix
where should i buy tickets / are there any left

would like saturday entry then overnight camp for the race on sunday ... whats the best ticket for this option ?

  • whats are the deals with the tickets ? does a ticket gain you access to the whole circuit and fun fairs etc
i've been to motogp / wsb races at donnington brands and silverstone and the tickets give you free reign to pretty much all areas ... even managed to sneak into a grandstand or two
is it the same at F1 weekends could we walk around the full length of the track for example ?

  • Is he up for camping at 80? Fair play to him.

  • yeah him and mum head off to the continent most years with a tent in the boot of the car

    not every night though

  • Yeah standard tickets you can walk around the whole track and will be a couple of decent places to watch if you can get through the crowds, Maggots for example. You wont be allowed into most grandstand though unless you have a granstand pass

  • @dicki - fly into Abu Dhabi, get the full weekend tickets in a grandstand for under €300 and enjoy access to the pit lane on the Thursday. Watch all the incidentals over the course of the weekend...

  • can my old man have the sofa ?

  • He probably could actually.
