Can someone give me a lowdown on what CLP did to originally get canned?
Incidentally about a disc wheels too.

What he does is up to him. What I do is up to me I guess. I haven't defended him at all on this matter, it is between him and the buyer. If I have defended someone in the past so what, many on here are quick to defend, even quicker to attack certain people online. If I am defending someone that's up to me to do, and I would have reason behind doing it, for example if I thought that they were being treated unfairly

I can also get @countryboj and @DragunovCZ1 to vouch for me and the way that I dealt with this situation and both myself and @countryboj were happy with the outcome. He kept his money, I was left with a broken wheel, and we have done much business since.

@PHRESHSLAYTE sorry for thinking you were the same person as James. Glad to hear you've turned over a new leaf, but must admit to being a bit disappointed to read that you only changed your ways after you 'had enough hatred on this forum to not sell broken items to buyers'. You'd think common decency would prevent you trying to do others over...
Anyway, regarding James, I'm sure he's completely honest and above board, what with saying the wheel was in good condition, getting called out on it after he'd sold it and then adding pictures to his for sale thread and suggesting they were there all along. Honesty must be his middle name.

I don't recall 'doing others over' I am sorry if you feel that way. I don't believe we have done business before :)

blagging stuff for free or cheap and then flipping it for a profit is for some reason frowned upon. how unfair

You just defend him 17 minutes ago, on this very topic.

yes that was a mistake. I did it once, so have many. I have learned from my mistakes as I say again. Yourself in particular had some underline hatred for me James. I hope that one day we will meet, shake hands and turn the other cheek from the past mistakes we have both made online, who knows I may even buy you that coffee :P

No. I haven't defended him on this specific topic no. Like myself, he was called out several times, both fairly and unfairly for mistakes. If you read what I wrote:
"I have dealt with @James. Many times and I have ridden with him and his mates alot they are sound people. Everyone gets the wrong end of the stick online, why I think it is always best to meet people in person and do business like that."
That is the truth.
-I have dealt with james online and off line
-IRL he is a very nice down to earth guy
-Online he has made mistakes
-This disc matter is nothing to do with me, but between himself and the buyer.
-I do think that transactions are best done in person, where people can gather a true understanding of the person whom they are doing business with. -
• #3812
We haven't done business, that's true. But from seeing how you acted on the forum and how other members spoke about you in threads like these, I was more than happy to keep it that way. Anyway, the past is the past and I'm glad to hear you've turned over a new leaf.

I've dealt with @PHRESHSLAYTE before, I did have reservations about selling to him from reading the CLP thread.
Ended up meeting him, sold to him, and now we're pals.As he has put himself, this is between buyer and seller, so why drag him into this?

• #3814
Ah! But I have used his services ;-)

I questioned whether chickenleaverpuller was the same person as James and was told that they were in fact pals, but not the same person.

LEAVE @PHRESHSLAYTE ALONE!

• #3818
This, partly because the behaviours were confusingly similar.

+1 rep. Thanks Barry :D

Guys I'm really sorry for selling that disc that I can only say was more damaged than I thought, I obviously have had really good buying experiences on here and the disc sale with Richard is not representative of those experiences but rather an anomaly. I have dealt with buyers who I know would vouch for me but would rather not entangle them, as for @PHRESHSLAYTE becoming confused with me, a scene reminiscent of two years ago when one of us backed the other and someone thought one of us were using an alias to back up or own argument.
Also Matt, massive rep for sharing your view, I know we have had our differences a few times but your kindness doesn't go unnoticed. I also know many many people here are very happy and confident to trade with you and we have both learnt from things. I have 33 for sale threads here and not All of them have ended in tears
Please excuse my essay, I am working to rectify this disc wheel, I am confused it is definitely in a worse state according to my phone call with carbon repair, something to do with delaminaion and an oven but PLEASE I am no expert and want to see the end of this very badly.
As with people dragging Phreshslate issues into this when we are supposed to be critiquing me, I am just gobsmacked.
There you go. You now know not to trade with me anymore because I'm a massive douche who has supposedly traded many faulty items on here before. Well thanks a lot.

This shouldn't really be about the repentant Phreshslayte, or who will vouch for him.
James. Where are you? Are you going to defend your actions? Are you currently refunding the cost of a wheel? Are you a complete twat?

+1 for the backing @james. It is interesting that those whom wish to hold old views (I can name a few) @TM @dancing james @edscoble @TurtleRecall I have not met these people in person, so it is a shame they have the bitter taste of old mistakes still fresh on their tastebuds.
I think that @apolo (not his user now) is key here, he had reservations from the beginning, we have met several times and they have been neutral, and even pleasant when I sold him some items.
I Disagree with your last part though. I think Once this disc stuff is sorted you should be regarded with neutrality from those who have not done business with you, and not cast down in negative light. I ask to be treated the same.
Once again, sort this dic rubbish out, it is shining negatively on you as a seller, and it should not. I have bought and sold many things with you and I have only had positive experiences, even if we have both got on each others nerves before.
I share a passion for bikes with all who read this, and all I can say is safe and happy riding, trading and socialising.

personally I have no good words about James, but would vouch for Mattie
-
• #3824
Ah, you have answered! Clearly Richard is a nice guy, kindly join him in that category by refunding without further quibble, this will restore your tarnished reputation somewhat....

Dude, just.. stop writing. stop.
Writing your 2,500 word essays on the forum isn't a good pastime to have.
Got some stick over his lockholders with moustaches (no really), which he didn't take too well.
But ultimately I think there was a driveby in Norwood and someone posted some kiddie porn photos (no really).
And I think your mum got dissed.
