  • What is CM

  • Ah yes

  • Unless you're put in danger...life is too short. Get on with your own ride.

  • I'll accept your word that it has calmed down.

  • Soooo many people without even a piss-weak light or reflector on their bike. Both in town, and out here in the sticks. Gets a bit silly as they wobble and change course.

  • There's a lot of ninja's out tonight.

  • I've been in nyc this week, there seam to be fewer cyclists than in London. But the general adherence to the 'rules' are next to non-existent. The only bikes that have lights on they are the citie bikes and they are next to useless anyway. Lots of weaving in and out of peds on crossings, jumping reds when going up/down town, it's hard going a across town, due to the number of lanes you have to cross. Lots of pavements/side walk riding, wrong way up a one way street and the delivery e-bikes mustn't have any kind of limit as they are fast a fuck.

Anyway, I know "cool story Bro" and an anecdote is just that.

The difference seams to be that people in general don't seam as bothered. I've seen a couple of instances of ped / bike inter action, where a ped in London would have been having a full on self righteous melt down, but everybody just checks everybody is ok and they go about their business.

  • Because they all have guns.

  • Lol, yeah there is that.

  • We could do with a bit more

where a ped in London would have been having a full on self righteous melt down, but everybody just checks everybody is ok and they go about their business.

    ... for sure!

  • I found the same cycling in NYC. The cyclists going the wrong way in the cycle lanes were fairly disconcerting to start with. But, there really aren't that many cyclists. If it was the same volume of cyclists as London then I think it would be different.

Saying that, Tokyo has a load of cyclists who seem to fairly much do what they want with few problems. Although they mainly seem to be meandering along rather than going at speed.

  • As long as people's annoying / law breaking behaviour is predictable and not dangerous (no lights, belting down on kerbs, RLJ at a stupid time) I suppose you get used to it. Otherwise everyone is annoyed all the time.

I see a lot kerb cycling/using ped lights to cross road in Belfast but it tends to be slow/non ped aggro, so I stopped getting annoyed (mostly)

No lights on the road in pissing down rain in the dark, nodders undertaking, or cycling on inside of lorries please no don't :(

  • A pair of jonhsons heading east from Richmond park around 12 today. You jumped every red, almost hit a lady crossing the zebra crossing and just rode like a pair of complete and utter cunts the entire time. One of you was on a celeste and yellow Bianci. I would imagine you're on here so please be aware you are total CUNTS.

  • Does the fact that the lights on the turning turning across Delancey road from the cycle path towards Regents are part of a cycle path make any change to the legality of skipping said lights?

  • With a baby on his back, too!

  • Kuato?

  • For all the bad shit, I still would choose to call out the cunt audi driver cunting along and accelerating into a roundabout, nearly into my kneecaps this afternoon. That annoyed me a lot more than the guys with no lights on the path on the way in/home.

  • Kuato?

And the Rep keeps on coming.

  • I know this is going to make me sound a massive cnut but...

I've come across Penge CC on weekend rides quite a few times; they seem to be very much aimed at newbies and older riders (the groups I've seen are anyway).

Every time I've seen them they are literally all over the place. Today there was a bunch of about 30 of them and they were spread all over the road, about 3 abreast, on a Chesham Court Rd (?) in Kent which is pretty fast and busy, none of them had proper lights despite about 50m visibility, and cars were stacked up behind them. Despite this they didn't seem to have the nous to get in single file. Other times I've seen them they're doing similar stupid stuff and generally seem to have no road awareness whatsoever.

It's great that there;s newer riders and 'vets' out on a spin, but they are almost a bit of a liability TBH...

  • ^ email club secretary fao road captain?

30+ riders they should at least be thinking about splitting down into smaller groups.

P.s. single file vs (organised) pairs the debate can rage all day, overtaking pairs = more like getting past another long vehicle, single file is twice as long so more likely for motorist to squeeze riders into kerb and break into/up the line.

  • I would imagine you're on here so please be aware you are total CUNTS.

They won't know you're referring to them if they read this, since loads of blends ride yellow & celeste Bianchis.
