My powertap never drops out on the road, but went through a spate of dropping out on the turbo. The moral is, don't go on the turbo.

Have now been waiting for replacement battery cover screws from P2m since november. I though Germans were supposed to be efficient?
-
• #6431
That's the Swiss.
-
• #6432
No, they're supposed to be precise.
Germans have been clearly been lying about more than car emissions..
-
• #6433
None of the Germans I've worked with have been efficient or proficient.

I added and removed that tag. It's not, because it's true.
I have only worked with 0.000000001% of Germany though.

My experience of German customer service is that it's cheaper and easier to punch yourself in the testicles than to get them to do it for you.
For e.g. I send my SRM to the SRM Colorado Springs office, rather than the SRM Germany office as the former will respond to emails in less than a month, and actually provide decent answers/service.

I turned off my subscription to Wattage as the amount of cock swinging by Coggan had just become utterly insufferable, but one of the P2Max guys posts there, might be a decent person to fire an email over to asking about screws.

To be fair to p2m they responded super fast to my emails. And having said they wanted to look at my p2m I had it back 10 days later, fixed at no cost. And its been good since.

And you're still wrong. I didn't say I didn't like Germans. Just the ones I've worked with v have been sub-par in terms of work. If I was xenophobic, especially of Germans, I'd hardly have spent a month cycling around Germany would I?

How long does it usually take before the novelty of swapping power cranks between bikes wears off? Asking for a friend.
-
• #6448
For me, the just the thought is enough.
But then I'm so lazy I bought more Powertap wheels because I couldn't be bothered swapping wheels.

20-30 seconds, max.
Here's some data waiting for a purpose:
Which came from this gentle run round my local park:

I suspect that the NIRS sensor didn't get a good look/something wasn't right until 14:30, as I doubt I was actually jogging along with 40% SMO2, but hey- who knows?

power2max don't do a meter for DA9000 cranks do they?
I should have mentioned that the strava file is from a Garmin usb dongle. The head unit was dropping out at the same time, which is why I'd assumed it was the PM. I hadn't clocked that the HR strap was also going.
