Will snag these then, ta. Will take my first foray into 25mm.

So the corsa g+ replace open paves - have I got that right?

What's currently the most reliable/accurate tyre pressure per weight for different tyre widths diagram?
I saw one earlier on here but can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance.

Gracias.

Yup, graphene supposedly offer superior protection without the disadvantage.

• #2460
the disadvantage... of...
-
• #2461
Puncture resistant tyres, such as additional weight and stiffer carcass.
I'm waiting for the 28mm version, but right now the GP4000sII is puncture resistances enough for me.

Gotcha. I guess I'm wondering how much better they can really be compared to open paves, since people rave so much about them...
-
• #2463
From the tread pattern, I'd says better as it's almost identical to my Gran Bois Hetres (except y'know, not as fat).

Check Vittoria's Youtube for video of what I assume are tubeless G+ versions being ridden over nails hammered through a plank and saying "fuck you air loss"

The figures seem so low. Can anyone weigh in?
Example: me + my bike: 70+10 kg. With my 28mm (Gatorskin) tyres, rear wheel load should be .55x70+5 = 43.5 kg. This would roughly mean just over 70 psi or 4.8 bar. Seems very low to me?
Also, what do they mean by '15% wheel drop'?

Seemed bang on to me, plus a little less on the front (50-60psi).
The next steps is simply finding a balance you find pleasing, smooth, but not squirmy while cornering.

Yeah, front would be .45x70+5 = 36.5 kg, which would result in about 60 psi (or 4.1 bar) indeed.
If the charts says so! I will try it. Thanks.

If you think it's too low, you can start at 70/80psi and see how you get on with it.
From the sound of it, going from 100psi to 70psi would be quite a big jump that set the alarm bell ringing in your head which will be hard to get used to.

Sounds about right. Going from 23mm tyres to 25mm to now 28mm means I just have to get used to lower pressures. I'll just steadily drop the pressure bit by bit. Quite pleased 28mm tyres fit my old school steel track frame though!

Also, what do they mean by '15% wheel drop'?
In the complete article, it discuss that the optimum pressure should allow the tyre to "deflate" 15% from a hard as rock position.

With the same rim width and tyre type, would a 28c give much advantage over 25c?
For example: archetype with 25c or 28c Clement strada
-
• #2472
It would, lower pressure, less vibration, and more grip on poor surface.
I'd avoid the Clements in the 28mm sizes thought.

Any reason ed?

• #2474
Too much sidewall exposed, which is not something you want while cornering.
Basically it's the same thread, but with a different carcass.

Cheers ed!
I'm going to order some G+ for winter. Masters were great for me in the summer.
