How far out are you looking? Can you get a cheaper hotel that's near a train station with regular and late-enough running? See also, trams, nightbusses...

November
I'm looking at Salford Quays I don't really want to stay further out than that.I have a feeling there may be a football match.

Aren't Giggs and Neville doing a hotel in Central Manchester; odious landlords but you can stay for free and full board? Salford Quay Travelodge £62, granted thought £30 expensive in May and that was in Wales.

Have to lift 1.98 x 1.60m about just under 10cm of the ground inside my house. Anybody got ideas who supplies some stage palettes today or tomorrow would be really appreciated?!

VOIP apps for cheap calls to international numbers. Normally I just use Skype, any other suggestions. Call quality is more important than call cost (within reason). Cheers

I had to change the forks to my beater(I know shit crap bike), too much power has been applied and it snapped(I didn't fell off and I'm still alive).
I was in rush and the only fork I found is this one in carbon, cheap, £60 from Camden Cycles, no brand. The Columbus in Cycle Surgery was £120 and for that bike nope. The question is, possibly @hippy and @andyp , is there something specific that I need to know about carbon? like how much to tight the wheels nuts? Does it need some special washers? etc
Nothing too anal just precaution.Thank you.

Based on what? Every time I've looked to stay somewhere it's been significantly cheaper than available hotels, especially if there's a few of you...

The fork ends are often metal bonded into the carbon. I've never had any issues with carbon forks on any of my bikes. Full carbon or otherwise. Crashed them numerous times and all good.

I agree with a owl, we had a gorgeous apartment with all the mod cons in Florence mere steps from the market for not a crazy amount of dough.

Going to Florence instead of Manchester is the best suggestion by far.

Can I use a Shimano barb/olive set to shorten the rear hose of a TRP Hylex? Why weren't these included in the box like with Shimano hydraulics?

Has anyone changed the chainrings on a modern Shimano four-arm crank?
If so, how the fuck did you get the outer ring off?

Take all the chainrings and the crank off. Refit as required with new parts. Now where do I get my palettes please? ^^^^^^
-
• #71724
Chainring won't come off the crank, not in any way that I can see currently, anyway.
