Wireless groupset? GTFO.
New app analyses your cycling performance, keeps track of the component mileage, and allows you to customise Campag EPS shifting

There are no words.

So I'm in the process of upgrading my commuter to 11 speed, I have an old tiagra 4600 long cafe rear mech lying around, any reason why this wouldn't play ball with 5800 shifters and cassette?

Different pull/activation ratios between 10 sp and 11sp Shimano FD and RD and shifters.
-
• #4656
Does that mean I need to replace both front and rear mech?
-
• #4657
yes to 4700 if you want cheaper than 5800
-
• #4658
Shimano 11 sp FD have the long lever action so cable pull is longer

Like Amey said, go for 4700 shifter and front derailleur to have that modern shifting without spending more and slightly shorter chain life.

• #4660
Will 4700 shifters work ok with the older Shimano 10sp rear mechs?
-
• #4661
No clue. Will the Shimano 10sp rear mech work with the older 9sp brifters?
-
• #4662
Yup.

Interesting that it's heavier than DA. I thought light was SRAMs thing, as it were.

BB30 version is lighter.

BB30 cranks: need to be available in 165mm, for a 1x10 TT bike if that makes a difference.
I've got SRAM, Rotor and Vision (FSA) on the shortlist: have I missed any?
Speaking of 1xnn, does anyone know if the SRAM 1 cranks are tweaked for single ring use, beyond not having the pips to mount an inner ring presumably, such as bringing the chainline inboard?

i have got 165mm BB30 rotor with sram 1x11 .. but they are in use
-
• #4670
Ha! Should have snapped them up before you found a use for them.
Where did you get them from?
-
• #4671
used on ebay old graphics ones go mega cheap .. they were cheaper than buying rival 1 165mm including chainring and BB

Cheers, I'll have another look: I obviously didn't trawl through enough disc brake related tat...

I am impressed by the Tiagra 4700. I used to have the Ultegra 6700 on a BMC before of moving to a Condor Acciaio with a mix of Athena/Chorus, and I did not like it at all.
That was because it connected to the Internet, also it took a whole year to do and they could only change the radio station and volume.
