  • IMBC envy here too.

  • My mate has Friday tickets spare still I think, I was gonna go but now can't.

  • Really? Are they for the evening session and are they for sale?

  • I'll ask.

  • Thanks! Sadly I can't go either now (am on house arrest). Someone should jump on them if your friend needs to get rid though.

  • Someone already did.

  • Stingy Jack, this year in cans. Pumpkiny. Sweet.

  • EeBria almost had me ordering again but those postage charges add up. So I've just mapped breweries to cycle to instead :)

  • Weird Beard Defacer 11% tasty
Buxton Wild Boar nice with fish curry.

Picked up a bottle of Nitro by Left Hand, purely because:

  • Got one of these to try tonight. Not sure it will be my sort of thing, but trying to be a bit more adventurous with my choices!

  • Stopped at Chiltern Brewery today but didn't get anything because jersey pockets, shaking etc.

  • Just cracked open a leffe cascade IPA. It's not an IPA but leffe with some cascade and it's wrong. I got through half the bottle and just couldn't drink anymore. Very cloying, too much banana.

  • I'll finish that...

    #minesweeper

  • Sierra Nevada Celebration IPA

  • Yeah all Sierra good.
    Two things.
Wish I had been at the Peckham coal line jolly today with beer. Jealous.
    and.
Oktoberfest cancelled in London. You must be gutted

  • Oktoberfest cancelled in London

You know it's in Munich right?

  • Ha. One day of girls in dirndls was too much for the London event...

  • Brodie's Picadilly Pale Ale. Superb. Light, soft and hoppy.

  • I had a Brodies Hoxton IPA today which was deeeeelicious

  • I have a bottle in the fridge. Super tasty. The bottles seem slightly over-carbed, so I let them settle in the glass for a few minutes. They have a new head brewer by the way.

  • There's a CAMRA pub crawl on Lee Bridge Road this Thursday (15th). Going to Brodie's King William IV and the Hare and Hounds amongst others:

  • The Nitro was lovely.

Flying Dog The Fear is tasty and not specialbrewy at 9%. Got the Gourd Standard for another night. They'd sold out of the Brooklyn Pumpkin ale but will get more in so I'll give it a try too.

In a year I'll have forgotten whats what in Pumpkin Ale world so will have to start the sampling again. Happy days.

Fri night is Bolton Ale Fest. I'll be mostly looking for Pumpkin.

  • Had a MTB with Brooklyn last night. Wasn't the brewer but Rachael I think UK brand manager. She was good - delivered an interesting history of the brewery while we sampled a few of their core beers and some specials. Their lovely Lager, really enjoyed their Sorachi Ace, Brown, East IPA, American Ale, awesome Chocolate Stout and this beast: http://brooklynbrewery.com/brooklyn-beers/bqe/quintaceratops

  • drooooooool

  • Sorachi is nice, but for that money I prefer their Local 1.

    QUINTOCERATOPS!!!
    Muchwant.
