Sorry for spamming, I'm selling a tt frame and some wheels which may be of interest to some:

messed the end which wasn't on the a road but around the corner, after I'd jammed on the brakes thinking I'd finished
What are you, some kind of amateur? If you think you've done a PB or beaten a record, always keep riding until the previous time elapses just in case you've mistaken a pair of random spectators for the timekeepers.

Swift! Good ride mate.

Nah, I already PBd my 25 by a little bit early in the year. I could provably smash it now but the season is toast. Any 25s left I should bother with?

• #11082
I was over 30 but after the turn slowed substantially.

• #11083
Shit. That's like a 50 minute 25! 5 main quicker than my PB! I gotta stop riding shit courses and getting fast in September :)

Nice work!!

Spanks.
Anyone ridden the G25/93? Looks pretty flat but SC? so winding and little traffic advantage.
Still could be last oppurtunity to drop my 25 PB ? http://www.sussexca.org.uk/g2593.html -

That Leo 30 would've been a 25mi club record too. Fucksake.

Looks pretty flat
It isn't, in fact I don't think there's more than about a mile of level road on it :-) Nothing very steep or long, but Washington to Steyning is a roller coaster, then Steyning to Shoreham is a steady down hill which makes coming back to the finish a drag. AFAIK Dr Hutch holds the course record with 49:31, but I suspect that the event record for the Mitre one is quite a bit slower as it's usually anywhere from quite cool to bloody freezing on the last weekend of October. If it's still and warm, you might just dip under 54:00, but still and warm rarely go together so late in the autumn. Don't forget that the clocks go back!

Hmm, maybe I should quit while I'm ahead then. Damn it!

You're only a nipper, plenty of years left to find a fast 25

Re: my post above no. 11090.
I'm irritated that the site seems to have edited my carefully thought out paragraphing in a manner which I feel is inferior to my actual submission. It's not obvious to me how to put it back to its original format. Can anyone help with this?

Great fun racing the West DC hillclimb weekend, 4 HC's over two days with @danb and @borek (though Borek pussied out and only rode on Sunday which is obvs the only reason he beat me. Good mix of hills, 5 minute hill with mixed gradients which was a bit of a test for fixed, followed by a 2 minute and 2x 2:30 minute smashfests which were well suited for fixed.
Great support on all of the hills, but especially the final race on Claverton where the crowd at the top really helped you power towards the line, ignoring the protestation from your lungs and legs. A few photos, which might suggest some weren't taking things too seriously, but the racing was certainly serious...
(N.B. that sign is a lie)

This is probably because you inadvertently triggered a formatting command in Markdown, e.g. the list feature?
It shouldn't be too hard to edit; just remove any extraneous characters in front of your last two paragraphs and it should display it normally.
(I find Markdown a total pain and not helpful at all.)
Also be aware that post numbering is now dynamic and no longer the same for everyone, i.e. it depends on whom you have on ignore, for instance, how they are numbered.

after discovering a small crack in my Dolan track champs chainstay(yes ive joined that club) i bought some oddball koga miyata frame on ebay cheapish which im sure has been on this forum in one guise or another, not a beauty but functional if you ignore the toe overlap. Took it for a shakedown at my local TT (maldon E21/10) saturday morning which was pretty damn cold riding out hence the leg warmers. The fog just started to clear in time but no doubt it put a few off and only 10 riders took part but i managed to put in the fastest time of the day - 2seconds off my PB on this course. 23.35. Only fixed rider.

I hope some of you may be interested in my report on last Sunday's Bidlake CC event.
http://britishcyclesport.com/2015/events/bidlake-memorial-time-trial/
I think most of you who read this thread would be interested in the Bidlake CC.
It's a fairly new organisation which has the primary objective of supporting the Bidlake trust.
Although this may not strike you as particularly interesting, the club's activities could be more up your street. Apart from the time trial mentioned here, the is an excellent bi-monthly magazine which deals mainly with cycle racing history. The magazine is modelled on Coureur (later Sporting Cyclist) which was a great publication in its day and a great source of inspiration for riders of my generation. The club consists mainly of second claim members, but it is CTT affiliated and does have some first claim members. Perhaps the main attraction is that it's a club with a very high proportion of cycling celebrities in its ranks and these include (in no particular order) Ian Cammish, Martyn Roach, Frank Colden, Alf Engers and Eileen Sheridan. From these names I think you will see that the club is unlikely to get all its members to support a club chain gang, but that there may be other more social possibilities.

Thanks Oliver,
I've just tried to edit the post by deleting it and reposting, but the same ugly and irrelevant reformatting has returned. I can't remove the extraneous characters because when I go to 'edit' the text appears as it was originally.

There - it's done it again. I seem to be permanently stuck it this horrible 'markdown ' thing.
Help!
Bloody hell, great ride. 29.6mph average! Told you it was a fast course.
