Presumably it wasn't her jelly babies that were spiked...

"BB30"
Turns out they're not - they're BSA. I took a punt on the description being wrong and the picture being right, particularly as CRC had a separate listing for Vision Trimax BB30 cranks. And they are definitely BSA.
One 160mm still available, no more 155s.

Bugger!
I've got 160 and wouldn't mind playing with 155.

Mwahahahahahaha!!!! Now, where's the best place to get a 54/44t 110bcd aero chainring combo. Current least painful option appears to be some Rotors from Bike24, but I can't help but feel that I've put enough Bike24 orders in recently.

Is that the one in a fortnight? Etwall? Yeah, I entered it a while ago. I was only down for it because it was meant to be fast but now I don't think I have the fitness to race it properly. When's the startlist out?

Sweet. Should be out this weekend I'd have thought.

I bought two - initially I didn't think they had latex tubes in because they're not super supple, but pumped one up and it lost 20psi overnight so I imagine they do. They are bonkers light.
I'll do a rolling resistance test so we can see how they stack up against Vittoria/Challenge Cronos too.

Now produced only in a special department of the factory Schwalbe. The machining process is completely different from that of a normal bicycle tire. For every "tubular handmade" takes many accurate machining. Only the most experienced workers are able to unite the individual components with the most diverse procedures of packaging, adhesives and sewing techniques. Of course the tubes are equipped with latex inner tubes and triple compound RaceStar for excellent performance.
Do they feel as though they'd survive on a road? Tempted for HCs.

They're light but the tread is relatively thick. I think I would risk it, we might give them to Natasha for National HC if the Crr is okay

Asked my local running/tri club if they are CTT affiliated.
Short answer: No
Longer answer: They were, but recently let it lapse. But they were considering it again as a few are interested and if I'm going to join then my club joining fee covers the CTT affiliation costs so why not.
Otherwise I'll just go the LFGSS CC route, but I had hoped to tie everything together with one club membership (BTF membership separate of course).
So, might be interested in trying out a 10 at some point next year. Can only PB on my first.

Well I've ordered one. My front Crono is a bit more worn that I thought, so I'll use it as a spare and run the Schwalbe.

Sounds like a plan, I'm seriously running out of Cronos ATM.

Just done the rolling resistance calcs on that Schwalbe Superlight. Crr is the same as a used Challenge Crono in 22mm, a good bit worse than a Vittoria Crono in 20mm.
To be honest it's better than I thought as under closer inspection I now suspect it's got a vulcanized inner tube like the Tufos. Certainly sounds hollow when you pump it up to a zillion psi and then drop it, so likely not latex after all. You can't feel an inner tube in it.

Any forumengers want an Elite Crono CX bottle and cage? Doesn't really work between the arms, and as my TT bike doesn't have downtube mounts it won't get any use unless I go full wanker and stick it on my road bike. £15?

Behind the saddle like Topham?
-
• #10620
He's switched to a chest camelbak now. I'd have zero confidence of that bottle staying in a cage mounted behind the saddle for more than a mile.

Glue some threaded inserts into holes drilled into the rear of your seatpost and treat it like a functional fairing?
-
• #10622
Won't be going anywhere near the new frame with a drill! Don't think it's wide enough to drill either. And still expect it'd fall out of the cage. It almost escaped from a BTA mount! Seems fine on the downtube though.

They fold up very small.

Picking it up this weekend
seems they have been separated in the final results with a small advantage giving the win to Jasmijn.
I find TTF quite amusing, the thread that has gone from discussing how flappy Usain Bolt's shirt was to discrediting Beryl Burton's records is quite something...
